I'm writing an NIH grant, and my goal is for the application to include ZERO banned words.
I review file drafts one by one using @drseanmullen's ScanAssist app.
Despite my best efforts, I would have missed 8 banned words in my Biosketch if not for the app.

This gets into the definition of lie, vs just making things up out of nothing which AI does all the time.I don't think AIs can lie. They just do what their owners or users tell them to do.
RFK Jr.'s Lies Catch Up To Him As Old CNN Clip Goes Viral (Farron Balanced on YouTube, June 4, 2025 - 5:36 min.)
RFK, Jr.'s tenure at Health and Human Services is going from bad to worse, as he was busted AGAIN for putting fake studies in his recent MAHA report after he was supposed to remove them. To make matters worse, an old clip of him getting his butt handed to him on CNN has resurfaced and gone viral this week exposing him for being a massive liar.
White House scrambles to correct error strewn MAHA report (BMJ, June 4, 2025)
The US government has hastened to correct multiple citations in its first Make Our Children Healthy Againassessment,1 which pointed to non-existent studies or dead internet links. New errors have crept in during the correction process, and several authors whose studies are named accurately in the report argue that their research does not support its conclusions.Within hours of a 29 May report by the US news outlet NOTUS listing seven papers cited in the report that did not exist, the White House began replacing those citations with other studies.2 Initially it tracked and noted those changes in the report, following normal practice in scientific publishing. But as other errors have emerged—the New York Times found two more non-existent papers, and the Washington Post identified 21 dead links—the administration has stopped recording its changes while continuing to make them.
Officials have also scrubbed the tag “oaicite” that appeared in many citation links in the original report—a definitive indication that the research was gathered using the Open AI chatbot. AI chatbots have a known tendency to “hallucinate” imaginary studies, and students are frequently penalised for relying on them in academic settings.3
State-run journals . . . wink-wink.Medicine Maker reported, "RFK Jr has also forth plans to ban federal scientists from publishing in prestigious medical journals such as The Lancet, JAMA, and The New England Journal of Medicine. Why? “They’re all corrupt,” he said in a podcast conversation with “biohacker” Gary Brecka. RFK Jr. proposes the alternative of state-run journals, where NIH funding would bestow the title of “good, legitimate scientist” upon researchers. He wants these state-sponsored publications to become the new gold standard in medical research dissemination."

RFK Jr. puts me in mind of a mecha, a small defenceless driver in the head of and piloting a large mindless machine. That brainworm really cleaned out his cranium.
Not quite. Judging from what comes out of his mouth, it left a lot of frass. That brainworm really cleaned out his cranium.
Is this another of these escaped bio-weapon conspiracies? Rotaviruses are of natural origin almost certainly the result of recombination amongst viruses affecting a variety of animal hosts, although the exact source of human rotaviruses has not been identified there is abundant evidence that human rotaviruses are the result of natural evolution and were not invented. At Substack Dr. Paul Offit,co-inventor of the rotavirus, discussed the issues involving the pregnant women and the Covid-19 vaccines. He wrote, "By late 2020, it was clear that Covid increased the risk of preeclampsia, preterm births, and other complications of pregnancy. Pregnant women with Covid were also more likely to be hospitalized, more likely to be ventilated in an intensive care unit, and more likely to die than women of the same age with Covid who weren’t pregnant. This wasn’t surprising. Because of their relatively immune suppressed state, pregnant women are susceptible to a variety of other severe respiratory diseases, like influenza...Normally, a change of this magnitude [announced on 27 May on X] would be vetted through the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP), professional groups like the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) among others, and public comment. Not this time. In fact, the CDC was completely blindsided by RFK Jr.’s announcement."
Co-discoverer, perhaps? Is this another of these escaped bio-weapon conspiracies? Ok, that makes sense. I didn't think that this was like you. Sorry!I meant to say that Dr. Offit is co-inventor of the vaccine against the rotavirus, RotaTeq. In the future I may have to refrain from commenting before I have had a cup of coffee.
You can rationalize all you want, but the truth is, you killed your daughter.NBCNEWS has a long article about the measles outbreak in Seminole, Texas. About the second fatality they wrote, "A cast of fringe doctors associated with Children’s Health Defense returned to the playbook, separating the pneumonia from the measles that preceded it, and claiming, once again, that the hospital was at fault. Via webcam this time, Tommey interviewed Daisy’s father, Peter Hildebrand, who blamed the hospital for Daisy’s death and stood by his choice not to vaccinate. Tommey told him the interview would “save lives.”"
Go back to hawking colloidal silver, you ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ quack!‘Absolutely Incredible’: Dr. Oz Slammed for Telling Medicaid Users to ‘Prove You Matter’
Dr. Mehmet Oz, President Donald Trump’s Administrator for Medicare and Medicaid Services, is facing sharp criticism after suggesting that the more than ten million people projected to lose their healthcare under the current Republican budget bill do not matter.
The legislation as written requires that many Medicaid users work and provide documentation that they have worked at least 80 hours each month, or be kicked off the critical safety net. Many Republicans have been suggesting Medicaid users are intentionally not working so they can collect federal government benefits like Medicaid. But many Medicaid users do work, and many cannot find jobs.
“Go out there, do the entry-level jobs, get into the workforce. Prove that you matter, get agency into your own life,” Dr. Oz, the former television talk show host and promoter of allegedly questionable health supplements and other products, told Fox Business.
“It’s a much more enjoyable experience if you’re going through a life thinking that you control your destiny, and you’ll get better insurance at the same time,” he claimed.
Nearly half of employers—about 46%—do not offer health insurance at all. Most exclude part-time workers from coverage. Gig workers typically receive no health benefits through their jobs. And many seasonal workers struggle to meet the monthly hour thresholds needed to remain eligible for Medicaid.
The Hill also reported that Dr. Oz said to people not willing to go back to work, volunteer, or take care of a loved one, “we are going to ask you to do something else. Go on the exchange, or get a job and get onto regular commercial insurance. But we are not going to continue to pay for Medicaid for those audiences.”
I saw this yesterday and was similarly irked. I've been trying to cut back on irked postings.◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ quack tells poor and ill people to ◊◊◊◊ off.

All things considered, I suspect you may be asking too much of yourself.I saw this yesterday and was similarly irked. I've been trying to cut back on irked postings.
Jesus! In other words he listens to a bunch of cranks.NBC News reported, "Pressed about the confusion and whether Americans are now trading one side of public distrust in the health system for another, [Dr. Marty] Makary defended Kennedy, who has been criticized for spreading misinformation. “My experience with Secretary Robert F. Kennedy is that he listens. He listens to myself, he listens to Jay Bhattacharya, listens to Dr. Mehmet Oz, he listens to a host of scientists that are giving him guidance,” Makary argued, referring to the director of the National Institutes of Health and the administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, respectively."
As ivermectin goes over the counter, some pharmacists worry about a lack of guidance
The drug, used to treat parasitic worms, has not been formulated or labeled specifically for over-the-counter use, like aspirin or an antacid.
Boise, Idaho, pharmacist Matt Murray has no choice but to disappoint the handful of people who call him every day asking for a drug used to treat parasitic worms.
He could give them the medication, called ivermectin, but only with a doctor’s note.
The callers aren’t in the throes of an active intestinal worm infestation, Murray said. They simply want access to the pills without having to see a doctor first.
“A lot of people are calling, asking, ‘Do you guys have it for sale? Can I buy it? How do I get it?’” said Murray, the director of operations for the independent Customedica Pharmacy. “Not so much, ‘How does it work? What is it for?’”
The volume of such calls has increased sharply since mid-April, when Idaho Gov. Brad Little, a Republican, signed a bill into law mandating that ivermectin be available to anyone who wants it over the counter.
While the law technically says that pharmacists like Murray can sell the drug over the counter, the Food and Drug Administration hasn’t approved it to be used this way.
“I don’t feel that we could just sell prescription ivermectin,” Murray said. “It’s not designed or packaged for retail sale.”
That hasn’t stopped frenzied social media claims about ivermectin’s supposed “miraculous” abilities to cure everything from Covid to cancer.
“Ivermectin eliminated the cancer on the skin of my shoulder and it only took 3 weeks,” one person wrote on X. “It’s also working wonders on my eczema,” another wrote on the platform.
Social media is cheaper and wishful thinking is free. You can now get your ivermectin over the counter in three states.

Ivermectin is now available without a prescription in some places. Good luck finding it.

No, it didn't.
I should know better by now, but I'm still amazed at how many morons will ignore sound medical advice but will listen to any nutjob or snake oil peddler on social media.
IIUC correctly, RFK Jr. recommended the three people named, which prompts the question of whether he listens to individuals whom he did not recommend.Jesus! In other words he listens to a bunch of cranks.

- Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday said he is “retiring” all 17 members of a crucial government panel of vaccine advisors.
- Kennedy is removing all members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, or ACIP, which advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
- It’s the latest move by Kennedy – a prominent vaccine skeptic – to change and potentially undermine vaccinations in the U.S. since he took the helm at HHS.
“A clean sweep is needed to re-establish public confidence in vaccine science,” Kennedy said in an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal on Monday.

He said Monday HHS will put “the restoration of public trust above any pro- or antivaccine agenda.”

Wow. RFK announced via a Wall Street Journal opinion piece that he is removing all 17 members of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, which is the expert panel at the CDC that decides who is eligible for vaccines and whether insurers should cover them.
Will Andrew Wakefield be one of the new ones?Dr. Lucky Tran on X, June 10, 2025
RFK will likely replace scientific experts on the CDC's Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices with antivaxxers who will use their power to further restrict vaccine access and spread disinformation. This signifies an alarming escalation in the collapse of US public health.
He wanted Josef Mengele, but he didn't know he was dead.Yeah, it's bad!
Will Andrew Wakefield be one of the new ones?
Or is he already onboard?
Florida's Ladapo?
The states can cover for CDC failure or inaction as they did with Covid. But they work together best in large scale pandemics. See Michael Lewis: The Premonition.Yeah, it's bad!
Will Andrew Wakefield be one of the new ones?
Or is he already onboard?
Florida's Ladapo?
RFK Jr. doesn't remember the mad stuff he did only yesterday, and invents more mad stuff today. So why would anyone expect him to keep important promises he clearly doesn't even remember? The Guardian reported, "“Without removing the current members, the current Trump administration would not have been able to appoint a majority of new members until 2028,” Kennedy wrote. Kennedy, in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece, said the committee members had too many conflicts of interest. Committee members routinely disclose any possible conflicts at the start of public meetings...[Dr. Geroge] Benjamin said the move raises real concerns about whether future committee members will be viewed as impartial. He added that Kennedy is going against what he told lawmakers and the public, and the public health association plans to watch Kennedy “like a hawk”."
In February ProtectOurCare wrote, "RFK Jr. Assured Cassidy He Would Maintain The CDC’s ACIP Without Changes. Cassidy said, “If confirmed, [RFK] will maintain the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices without changes.” [Chief Health Care Executive, 2/11/25]"
TheHill reported, "Ahead of Kennedy’s Senate confirmation vote, Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) said Kennedy pledged to maintain the panel “without changes.” In a post on X, Cassidy said he had just spoken with Kennedy about the move. “Of course, now the fear is that the ACIP will be filled up with people who know nothing about vaccines except suspicion,” he said. “I’ve just spoken with Secretary Kennedy, and I’ll continue to talk with him to ensure this is not the case.”"
