[Continuation] The Trump Presidency (XXX)

Trump was worried about illegal aliens coming here speaking "unknown languages." He might not have thought this through. Speaking only unknown languages would put them at a distinct disadvantage for taking over America.

Unknown language??? Quick! Somebody call an anthropologist!

Quick question: How would Donny know these were "unknown" languages? He is monolingual and struggles dreadfully with that one. I get the impression that even English words of more than one syllable baffle him. So would he be able to distinguish Spanish or Arabic or any other language? Perhaps he means languages "unknown to Trump". IOW, every language including high school English.

The actual quote

"We have languages coming into our country -- we don't have one instructor in our entire nation that can speak that language. These are languages, it's the craziest thing, they have languages that nobody in this country has ever heard of,"

And...? The statement still remains ignorant and stupid...

Is that any more rational?

It’s just another manifestation of his pathology.

“Who knew healthcare could be so complicated?”

And, about Lincoln: “Great president. Most people don’t even know he was a Republican,” Trump said while addressing attendees at the National Republican Congressional Committee Dinner. “Does anyone know? Lot of people don’t know that.””

And now this. Too many more to list.

Context makes it no less stupid.

I'm actually reminded that it could actually be a rather good thing for said language speakers to come to our country. We used something similar to great effect in the past, as I recall. Having more speakers of minor languages available both opens up more options and serves as a defense against such being used against us.

Is that any more rational?
No, of course it's even stupider. Aside from being crazily paranoid and false, if someone in the country, even illegally, speaks a language, it's demonstrably untrue that nobody in the country has heard of it.

And, of course, as Aridas points out, having some rare languages isn't such a bad thing. After generations of attempts to eradicate native American languages, suddenly the few left became useful and all that other stuff was forgotten. As long as Rudolph is useful, we'll let him be substitute permanent catcher in the reindeer games.

But of course, the base will eat this stuff up, shaking with fear at the invasion of dreaded diversity and secret tongues, although their kids probably know more words in Klingon and Elven than Trump will ever learn in Slovenian.

We've seen it many times before. He's the most brilliant person on Earth, so if he doesn't know something, then obviously nobody else knows it either.

Illinois judge rules Trump ineligible for Republican primary ballot over Jan. 6 riot.

Illinois judge rules Trump ineligible for Republican primary ballot over Jan. 6 riot.

Technically, I believe he was ruled ineligible for the primary ballot because Illinois requires candidates to certify that they are qualified to serve in the position, and Trump falsely claimed to be qualified to serve as President. In effect, Trump was dinged for filing an application that failed to acknowledge the fact that a court had found Trump to be ineligible for the office of US President.

Note that Colorado's finding of fact (that Trump is ineligible because of the 14th Amendment) has not been overturned. The Colorado court's decision has been stayed, but has not been overturned.

The Illinois decision is paused to give Trump time to appeal. If the US Supreme Court overturns Colorado's decision while the Illinois decision is paused, I assume the SCOTUS's decision will have the effect of overturning the Illinois decision as well.

It's clear that when it comes to general knowledge of the world and basic history, everything that Donny knows could be written in the blank space around a postage stamp. He is not only insane but clueless with it. Even Hitler and Mussolini studied stuff in school. But not Donny. Which means all his decisions and policies are never based on facts, just his mad mobster gut feelings.

USA, why are you even letting this morass of moronic mayhem anywhere near government?

Trump now says there is a tape (there isn't) that exonerates him over his asking Zelensky (Ukraine) to find dirt on Biden in exchange for weapons.

CNN: Fact check: Trump, telling a completely fictional story, falsely claims he released ‘the tape’ of his Zelensky call
Former President Donald Trump told an entirely fictional story on Saturday about how he had supposedly outwitted his Democratic opponents by releasing “the tape” of the 2019 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that was a key factor in Trump’s first impeachment.

Speaking at a Saturday campaign rally in Ohio, Trump claimed he let Democrats make “wilder and wilder” claims about what he said to Zelensky, “and then we released the tape.” Trump proceeded to claim that when Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, who was then the speaker of the House, “heard” this tape, she was angry that she had been deceived by her allies’ previous “false” descriptions of the call; he claimed that Pelosi said to “her people”: “What the hell did you get me into? You hear this call? He didn’t do any of this stuff!”
Trump's brain trails off into his completely delusional world...

But once again, the Trumpanestas won't ever hear, wonder, or ask anyone about the tape itself, Trump says it happened, it happened as far as they're concerned. They've left this reality behind and are...
...traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. The Trump's Lies Zone...

So I sure that Donny can order this evidence publicly released again, immediately, and he can show everyone precisely what he said when to back up this utterly delusional claim. I would hope Pelosi will do so publicly...not that the Trumpnuts will listen.

Pelosi is no longer in a government position, at last check, just to poke at that. Johnson, the guy who's there because he was too unknown for everyone to hate him, is currently the leader of the House.

Should not stop Donny showing us directly this brilliant gem of exoneration. On Trothe Sential, no less!

Trump has NO idea who his friends are or how international diplomacy works. And he obviously doesn't know that he doesn't get to choose any other countries' ambassadors, THEY do. And barring Australia's ambassador particularly by making him persona non grata (the only way to stop him being in Washington), would put in severe jeopardy nearly a century of strong national alliance.

Pacific geopolitics was bad enough when he was president last time. If he pulls the US out of NATO and then snuffs the US alliance with Australia next time round, there will be no US friends left on this side of the world. Just what Putin and Xi want!
Donald Trump has taken a swipe at the former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd, calling him “nasty” and claiming he “won’t be there long” as Australian ambassador to the United States.

...

Asked by Farage about some of those criticisms, Trump at first appeared to not know who Rudd was, before then insulting him several times.

“I don’t know. He won’t be there long if that’s the case,” Trump said, in a clip of a longer interview posted on social media on Wednesday.

“I don’t know much about him. I heard he was a little bit nasty. I hear he’s not the brightest bulb. But I don’t know much about him.

“But if he’s at all hostile, he will not be there long.”

Pelosi is still a sitting member of the House and very influential if not the Speaker. I wouldn't doubt for a second that Jeffries confers with her a lot.

My mistake, then. I misremembered her stepping down from leadership as her retiring more fully.

Yea it's probably not a good idea to get your information from Media sources that lie about Trump for a living. Feel free to check out the latest "Bloodbath" hoax. Let your conscious be your guide.

What is a hoax here? Are you denying that he said it? You can certainly dispute what you think he meant by it. Even some enemies of Trump presume he meant an economic, rather than sanguinary bloodbath, but are you going to suggest that all the videos and reports and transcripts are lies?

This stuff is on video. As is his statement that some immigrants are not human, which he says he's not allowed to say, as he says it. As is his calling the rioters of January 6 hostages, as is his blaming Biden for his inability to read the teleprompters! And on and on.

How about this one? https://twitter.com/i/status/1769106963533590919

Some people get their information from media sources that lie for Trump for a living. Feel free to check out the latest Trump hoax from this past weekend when he claimed "We released the [Zelensky phone call] tape," and Nancy Pelosi said “Let’s just pretend he did and keep going forward,” and "After they made up the story and then after that they heard the tape, they died. They didn’t know that phone call was taped. That was one good case of a phone call being taped. And they were taped and they got caught." Let facts be your guide.

Let you "conscious" be your guide? :what:

Are you disparaging the sucking attributes of that champion Trump arse-licker, Nigel Farage?? Telling us he is lying?? Good golly!!

The claim is that the quote was taken out of context. Trump was talking about the automotive industry, and the bloodbath was of auto workers jobs.

A poster on another board who (unlike me) has listened to the whole speech says:

That's not actually all that clear, tbh. Sure, he's talking about the auto industry immediately beforehand, but he then just veers off into talking about a 'bloodbath' if Biden wins. His generally rambling, topic-hopping style makes it hard to know whether he's talking about the same stuff as he is immediately before and after. I think that people listening will have interpreted it in a range of ways, depending on their disposition.

I've just read Trump's speech and I agree that it's not clear if he was referring to only the auto industry having a 'bloodbath' over tariffs or the country having a bloodbath if he doesn't get re-elected. He's all over the place with his stream- of-consciousness ramblings. When you take into consideration the rest of his speech, especially the part about not having any elections ever again if he's not re-elected, it's certainly not illogical to think he wasn't referring to the car industry.

It's certain Trump doesn't know what he said either. If it was really bad then "it was a joke". If it gets him votes and/or donations, then he really meant it but in whatever context works to that aim.

It's quite characteristic of Trump and his speeches that he couches everything in needlessly violent and ambiguous terms, thus being able to disavow any bad consequences, because he did not say exactly that!

As usual, we are left with the usual conservative alternative, which is that he's not responsible for the violence, hatred, Nazi implications, and all the rest of the implications of his speech, because he's too stupid to understand what he's saying.

The Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi comments about the "Bloodbath" are just as amusing as are a few here desperately clinging to dishonesty. It's ok, you're not fooling anyone but yourself. But keep up the good work! Stuff like this drives voters to Trump all the more. Why else are CNN and other Leftists Media outlets circling the drain? Stuff like this is no longer acceptable by anyone other than zealots of the Left.
