the trump administration and crypto fraud

food was terrible, boring party where the trump coin investors got blown off
"I was hoping for either Big Mac or pizza". Such a sad statement. "Hey, I invested bigly and I was kinda hoping for a hamberder here?"

Well Big Mac or Pizza would have at least been ironically on brand and appropriate from his perspective. What was actually served was just a typical meal for a fake fancy event like this.

It struck me as a cheap persons idea of what an expensive meal should look like.

Yes that, and the fact that Trump himself really isn't any kind of gourmet means that the food wouldn't have received any kind of attention at all.

Mrs Don and I are due to go to two weddings and wedding breakfasts this year. One couple are very much into their food and the menu reflects this, it looks genuinely exciting. The other couple aren't so bothered and that menu is pretty much a default wedding spread. There's likely no significant difference in cost, it's just prioritisation of effort.

Trump doesn't care about food, and he doesn't care for the welfare of his audience but wants to appear rich at minimum cost. I think the menu reflects that accurately.

Very true, but it's also a reflection of his incompetence in not delegating it to someone competent.

This is why it's incompetence, not caring is a particularly good reason to delegate it to someone who will care, and it will matter to him when he's mocked for it.
Trump revels in his crassness. This is the same guy who got a thousand dollars of fast food and pizza takeout as a "formal dinner" for some visitors to the White House last time round. Who has Diet Coke with every meal.

binance lists trump stable coin, sec drops investigation

fyi this is not trump coin, his rug pull and bribery coin. this is a stable coin, which is even worse than a rug pull coin. stable coins are pegged to the dollar coins often backed by nothing but treated as just as good as a dollar due to the ability to easily trade it on the block chain. until they collapse like all the other ponzis since, essentially, they mint as much as they want until it wavers and there’s a run with nothing to back it.

the most popular, tether, has issues billions of tokens and accounts for about 70% of bitcoin purchases. they claimed it was backed 1 for 1 to the dollar, which was a lie. they were fined and have since, instead of auditing their reserves, completed given up on pretending it’s backed and bribed the trump admin to drop the next investigation

now the exchanges take money, and use tether to buy bitcoin purchases for their customers keeping the cash. they are also not audited or regulated. hopefully you see where trump is going with his stable coin and his exchange

And with the FDIC one of those "wasteful" programs the kleptocrats want to get rid of...what a recipe for success is being brewed here.

if i’m wrong, great. no harm no foul.

if i’m right, it’s exposing a significant stake of the entire global financial system into an unimaginably huge scam primed to collapse

more on stablecoins acting as unregulated central banks from paul krugman. extract the valuable fiat, drive up the price promising massive yields.

kind of a lot to unpack here, but eric and don jr, pretty prolific crypto scammers in their own right, are talking about how michael saylor, who is currently running a massive tens of billions dollars ponzi scheme selling bitcoin equities of bitcoin he's investing through mstr (which is listed on the stock market btw so we're tying traditional finance into ponzi schemes) is recommended they mortgage mar a lago and invest that into bitcoin (or, even funnier, mstr). instead they diluted their djt scam and invested that instead.

so when the ponzi collapses, just how intertwined will traditional finance be?

seemingly to highlight crypto’s advantages to criminals, trump jr comments on embracing crypto due to being excluded from traditional finance.
I doubt that was the real reason. The TACO crime family had access to Deutsche Bank up until the German government found out that it was an arm of the Ruzzian mafia (about the time he first got "elected") and still has access to the Ruzzian banking system.

My guess is somebody's using crypto to scam the TACOs.

i disagree, i think having a bunch of stateside accounts terminated would be a major problem for any person or business, even if you do have access to other banking methods. plus, they took in hundreds of millions of dollars through crypto either directly or through donations from crypto ceos. and his admin is lousy with crypto scammers directly benefiting from easing and controlling regulations and defunding investigative bodies

Given how easily TACO was scammed out of campaign finance money he was planning on stealing himself in both 2016 and 2020, I would not be at all surprised if only a tiny percentage of his ill gotten gains are hitting his bank account.

interesting graphic of trump media and crypto projects and the people involved

It will be trivial to unravel the entire operation as part of a RICO . but there isn't and never will be the political will to do so.

in light of sponsoring trump's military parade, because apparently now the military has sponsors, short article about coinbase's increasing involvement in politics, including hiring harris and trump campaign managers and examines crypto enthusiasts as a voting bloc. unfortunately, the basic operation of crypto is that of a ponzi scheme, it's mountains of fraud and waste over than any legitimate economic activity, and our scamming criminal exchange and stable coin owning president is all in on reshaping the regulatory environment to their advantage and collecting billions for him and his friends in the process.

peter thiel takes steps to found a bank for crypto, ai, and other tech ventures

edit

and since there’s so many comparisons to silicon valley bank with regards to this venture, here’s an article regarding thiel’s role in the svb collapse
