The Georgia Criminal Case Against Trump

Let's just hope the court makes a quick decision and Willis is allowed to stay on case. But this is Georgia, so who knows?

I would be absolutely shocked if Willis and her team haven't been prepping another team should she be taken off the case. I doubt there will be much of a delay if she's removed.

Georgia appeals court says it will consider Trump’s effort to disqualify DA Fani Willis from election subversion case.

looks like another successful delay past the election tactic to me
That may not be an issue.

According to legal analyst Glenn Kirchner...
- The judge has stated that "the trial will not be delayed"
- The appeal is interlocutory, meaning that it is an appeal that can take place while the other legal proceedings (and the trial) continues.

I'm pretty sure it is NOT interlocutory. As I understand it, something that IS Interlocutory stops the process in its tracks.

Even if Willis is removed from the trial, her team will have a new leader appointed, or a deputy team leader takes over, and can still continue without missing a beat. It's not like Willis was running the case solo. She has a big team. So it's a pointless exercise on Trump's part, AFAICT.

None of it matters, except to political porn watchers who like gossip about non-issues.
This case is dead. They missed the window. RIP.

It’s been put forth that if she goes, her whole team goes under GA law.

From CBS News:

Willis' disqualification would also extend to her office. The case would then be referred to the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia Executive Director Pete Skandalakis. In a statement to CBS News, council spokesperson Tracy Walston said Skandalakis would have a few options.

Oh, FFS. Sure, justice is there in the case of the falsely accused, but surely after all his delay tactics, Trump can be classed as a vexatious litigant by now?

Because every legal debate Trump is involved in is really a question of "Should Trump be held accountable to the laws of the United States?" no matter what the actual topic is.
