Breaking news:

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan charged with rape in the UK

Wednesday 28 May 2025 17:19, UK

Andrew Tate, 38, face 10 charges, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain, relating to three women.

His brother Tristan Tate, 36, faces 11 charges relating to one woman - including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.

A CPS spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we have authorised charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate for offences including rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm against three women.

Does the UK have an extradition arrangement with the US? Does anyone think that the Trump administration will let them go?

Aren't they in Romania? Seem to recall they went back there to face the charges, saying "Innocent people don't run away" or some such.

Orphia is correct. I missed the news.

The brothers briefly returned to the U.S. earlier this year, after a travel ban imposed on them was lifted, arriving at Florida's Fort Lauderdale airport on Feb. 28. When asked about the pair's arrival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told reporters that the state was, "Not a place where you're welcome with that type of conduct in the air."

Days after they landed in the Sunshine State, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on social media that he had directed his office to work with law enforcement to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the Tate brothers.

"Based on a thorough review of the evidence, I've directed the Office of Statewide Prosecution to execute search warrants and issue subpoenas in the now-active criminal investigation into the Tate brothers," Uthmeier said without disclosing any details on the nature of the investigation.

The brothers went back to Romania weeks later. When Andrew Tate arrived at their residence near Bucharest, he told reporters they returned because "innocent men don't run from anything" and he vowed to clear his name in court.
Perhaps they were spooked by the investigation in the US and the statements from DeSantis and Uthmeier and decided that maybe they were safer in Romania after all. I'm not a DeSantis supporter in the slightest, but on this one issue, I agree with him. These scumbags should not be welcome anywhere.

Might also be easier to run an alleged prostitution and trafficking ring from Eastern Europe.

A little bit more from Uthmeier:

Florida’s Attorney General still has no use for the controversial Tate brothers. And he wonders why people on the Right are “idolizing” them.

During an appearance on Standpoint, a podcast hosted by Gabe Groisman, Attorney General James Uthmeier didn’t hold back in discussing Andrew and Tristan Tate, who have just been brought up on 21 charges in the United Kingdom, including rape and human trafficking.

The Gov. Ron DeSantis appointee said it “concerns” him “that the conservative movement idolizes people like this, that stand for these things.”

“Whether it’s criminal or not, a lot of this behavior is certainly immoral and not something that should be exemplified. It’s certainly not strength of masculinity. To me, it is weakness to behave that way, and I think you’ve got to speak out against it. We should not have young conservatives looking up to and idolizing people like this. We need good family men,” Uthmeier said.

The comments continue Uthmeier’s visceral disgust directed to the globetrotting duo.

I too had missed that they went back to Romania. I don't usually follow news about them because I don't care.
It was in the article Andy Ross posted.

But yeah, I'm not actively seeking out updates, just relying on my algorithms and internet sources to show updates. Same with the Diddy case.
