Trump on the Canadian election: "It was the one who hated Trump the least who won."
........does he think Greenland belongs to Canada??WELKER: Would you rule out military force to take Canada?
TRUMP: I think we're not gonna ever get to that point. Something could happen with Greenland. I'll be honest. With need that for national and international security.
Only if they're not ◊◊◊◊ holes. Which are basically non-white ones.........does he think Greenland belongs to Canada??
Has he the slightest clue about "other countries"??
My theory is that somebody (who has probably been kicking themselves ever since) once told Trump in a briefing that keeping the US bases in Greenland was important for security, because they were worried Trump was going to cut the funding for them or try to close them down because they appeared to be in the middle of nowhere doing nothing. But they overstressed their case, and that single fact lodged deeply in what passes for Trump's mind, and he came away with the conclusion that US security hinges upon total possession of the entire island. Why Greenland? Who the hell even thought about it before he brought it up.
So are you lying that the figure is $250b or lying that it's very little business? Or lying that you pay it? Or lying that it's a subsidy?Trump: "If Canada was a state, it wouldn't cost us. It would be great. It would be a cherished state ... I don't think the American public wants me to pay $250 billion a year to subsidize Canada ... we do very little business with Canada."
Probably and sadly not too far from the truth. Chief of Staff must be a difficult job as Trump is known to pretty much go with the last advice he hears.
His kleptocrat buddies lusting after land (Thiel) and minerals (the rest) probably keep the notion alive by Wormtongueing his ear.
