"NASA Moon Missions Could Alter Earth’s Tides"

Click-baity, possibly AI-generated slop. Not clear who exactly is making the claim. I think you have to watch a video to find out. I'm not going to reward them by taking the bait.

Here is the text summary with a gazillion hashtags (they are casting a wide net looking for clicks).

As lunar missions accelerate, scientists are raising red flags about potential tidal disruptions on Earth. Emerging research suggests that frequent landings, heavy equipment, and artificial gravitational influence may destabilize the Moon’s surface and subtly alter ocean behavior. The delicate gravitational dance between Earth and its satellite could soon be impacted by our technological ambition. #MoonMission2025 #TidalDisruption #LunarExploration #NASAUpdate #EarthTides #SpaceVsNature #MoonGravity #OceanScience #SpaceNews #LunarEffects #MSNTrending #GravitationalShift #SpaceRace2025 #MoonLandingNews #ClimateAndSpace
Not any time soon.

The video goes on to do a Bettridge; it explains why no amount of practical exploration or exploitation of the Moon will change its mass or orbit. Click-bait garbage.
Quelle surprise.

ETA: I think the headlines (or video titles) are often very misleading, even as to the actual content of the article or video.
There were a couple of those in the thread about HFCS, where the headline says one thing, but the article doesn't back it up if you bother to actually read it. I know that it is common practice even in respectable news orgs for the headline writer to be different from the person who wrote the article. The goal is often to maximize clicks, rather than to accurately summarize the content or main thrust of the article or video.

The other issue is that in most publications the journalists are tasked with wriing X number of articles per day generating Y number of page views at a level where no proper journalism can get done. So a whole load of journalists have become dependant on sloppy PR from dubious sources, or worse.
