    When we moved to Xenfora some of the signature options didn't come over. In the old software signatures were limited by a character limit, on Xenfora there are more options and there is a character number and number of lines limit. I've set maximum number of lines to 4 and unlimited characters.

Cont: Musk buys Twitter II

How involved is he in the daily running of the various companies though? Given the massive conflicts of interests involved in his new government job, I'd imagine they'd want to keep him on for a little while longer.

Works fine here (maybe a geowall in the US???- can't have them lot having that 'lurnin' stuff lol, might find out that trump and co are tellin porky pies...)
Using a phone. I can't waste time finding a link to something that isn't paywalled. The link is to prove I haven't invented the quote.

Just mentioning that it isn't a paywall- because I definitely can see the article here in Australia, and I definitely do NOT have a subscription lol....

So its more likely that those that can't see it have some other issue (blocking from their end ie geofencing) rather than an actual paywall...

The Nine News websites usually have a paywall.

A responsible Board of directors would tell him to stand down. It's beyond absurd. No amount of ketamine will help him get the job done.
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't dare. The Musk fanboys would be furious and out for blood. Granted, a lot of them probably never leave the house, but you always have the odd person who's actually dangerous.

I'm sure Musk didn't buy Twitter to make money. He purchased it to control information.

well the thing about that i suppose is that twitter both makes money and exerts influence from people using it. one would assume one follows the other

Gotta signal that he's a horrible enough person to be worthy of working for the National Socialist American Republican Party (NSARP).
edit: ninja'd by ponderingturtle.

more trouble with the sec. before his ill advised purchase of the company, musk bought up half a billion dollars in twitter shares without disclosing his holdings, essentially discounting the cost of the shares he bought by $150m. obviously, who cares that he ripped off the public for $150m, it's barely any money to him. and before anybody forgets, he owns several successful companies some of which sell products that people like.

It should be amusing watching elonia's reaction to being called out for using boosters for his online gaming, but instead watching the world's richest man having such a meltdown over a couple of games is just sad. The latest low is him revealing that streamers/youtubers have *gasp* editors!

Done by way of elonia sharing* private xitter messages between him and streamer Asmondgold, claiming that the latter have editors who tell him what to do, evidently not realising that in the context of streamers/youtubers, an editor is someone who takes the raw feed from Twitch/Youtube and edits it into a more presentable size, either a shortened highlights video or trimming out various breaks etc.

* against xitter's T&C incidently.

He wants Twitter to be a competitor to Youtube and he doesn't even know what a video editor is 🙄

I was thinking about it, and there is no reason for him TO grow up. He's got everything he could possibly need/want, and has since childhood.

That video game character he played around with a few hours - brought there by the work of others - is a metaphor of Musk's life. He could afford to be an abysmal player, not knowing a thing about the game, because the character was so over-powered for the areas of the game he went that it was almost impossible for him to fail (He did attempt to fight one of the toughest bosses one time and was repeatedly killed, because in that case he had to show some skill, of which he obviously does not have).

And this immature manchild fits in perfectly with the current president elect and his group. Sigh, it's going to be a long 4 years.

Looks like Elon is bored with the USA already.

Elon Musk
@elonmusk

So many people in Europe lack hope for the future or think Europe is “bad” in some way.

Pervasive pessimism.
This will lead to the end of Europe.
Therefore, it must change.

From MAGA to MEGA:

Make Europe Great Again!

Taking a leaf out of Dump's playbook. Used to be that being caught lying was embarrassing. Now you're supposed to double down and make yourself appear as thin-skinned as you possibly can. This makes you come across as a strong person to your disciples... Somehow.

He went lower - he took the guy's blue checkmark away.

Australia's eSafety Commission has expressed "great sadness" at the link between a triple murder in the United Kingdom and a violent video of a stabbing in Wakeley, Sydney, it had tried to remove from the internet.

A Liverpool Court has heard British teenager Axel Rudakubana searched online for video of Sydney Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel being stabbed, about 40 minutes before he left home and went onto murder three young girls who were enjoying a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.

The April stabbing at the Assyrian Orthodox Church, Christ The Good Shepherd Church, in Western Sydney, happened during a sermon being streamed online, and was labelled a "terrorist attack" by police.

Video of the stabbing was quickly removed from sites including Google, Microsoft, Snap, TikTok and later Meta after eSafety used Australian law to issue a take-down order on the basis it depicted a violent crime.
But Elon Musk's X challenged that order in court, saying it was willing to geo-block the video in Australia but would not delete it, meaning it would remain accessible overseas or via a VPN. eSafety ultimately dropped its action.

Free speech is absolute. Except if you dis Elon.
