Wow, really? Many of the charges that Rep. Balint lists are bogus--many, but not all. Have any of you who are condemning MTG and endorsing the censure resolution bothered to read anything that defends MTG against these charges? Don't some of the charges sound unbelievable on their face? I don't agree with many of MTG's views, but many of the charges in the censure motion are invalid.
Take, for example, MTG's recent vote against the anti-antisemitism bill. Rep. Balint conveniently failed to mention that many radical liberals also opposed that bill, claiming that its definition of anti-semitism was too broad and would improperly restrict criticism of Israel. Most of you know that I am about as pro-Israel, pro-Jewish, and pro-Judaism as one can get. Personally, I wold have voted for the bill even though I see room for concern about the bill's very broad definition of anti-semitism.
The claim that MTG is anti-Israel is false. Are you aware that MTG has a long record of voting for military aid for Israel? She has occasionally voiced a few criticisms of certain Israeli policies, but she has always ardently defended Israel's right to exist and has almost always voted for increases in military aid to Israel.
If any members of Congress have proved themselves to be anti-Israel, they are Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Andre Carson, Al Green, Summer Lee, AOC, Delia Ramirez, Ayanna Pressley, Pramila Jayapal, and Ilhan Omar. But these are all woke liberals, so they get a pass by other liberals, I guess.
