When we moved to Xenfora some of the signature options didn't come over. I've lived in Anaheim for almost a decade, and this is the first time I've seen this advert and website:

The Learning Light Foundation
SoCal's Largest Psychic Fair

2nd Saturday of Every Month
10am to 5pm

$2 Admission
$15 - $50 for Readings
$20 to $45 for Energy Balancing Sessions

· Mediumship
· Tarot
· Animal Communication (pictures only please!)
· Palmistry
· Numerology
· Astrology

The website includes a printable Free Admission coupon.

Would Robert or anyone else be interested in rounding up the local Lancastrian Horde and visiting this event? For entertainment purposes only, of course!
:soapbox

Would anyone else in the Anaheim area? August's is out of the question, but I might be able to attend the September or October event ...

Sorry for the double-post, but the Learning Light Foundation also performs "Paranormal Research Investigations" (PRI), using equipment like:

- Video and audio recorders.
- Film, digital, and Polaroid photographs.
- Starlight scopes and Infrared imaging devices.
- Spectrum Audio analysis software and digital video enhancing software.
- Temperature and electromagnetic sensing gear.
- The use of respected (?) Psychics to assist in corroborating on-stive investigative events.
- Interviews with everyone involved, or who may be knowledgable about the paranormal events (Rumors? Hearsay? Second-Hand Witnesses?).

Their stated goal is to "... educate humanity by providing evidence of the paranormal." They meet on the first Sunday of every month at the Learning Light Foundation center, and are open to the public, although a $5.00 "donation" is requested at the door.

Their website's URL is haunted911.com ...

This could be funner'n Ditzyland and Knutt's Bury Firm put together!

I'm too far from Anaheim (and I could really use a good energy balancing session ), but out of curiosity, what are you planning to do there?

I'm not quite sure yet. Play "Stone Face" during cold readings ... obtain astrological charts and readings from several different sources ... bring one of my "Psychic Energy Dampers" and see if I can get orders for more ... ;)

Whatever else I do, I'll keep a journal and post my experiences.

Animal communication...with a picture. Okay. Is that anything like when I yell at my TV?

So what is animal communication?

I think that it's where you give a photograph of a dearly departed pet to the "reader", and he/she channels the spirit from the "other side". I would not be at all surprised if animals acquire the ability to communicate in English, and only in English, once they arrive "over there".

Well, it might be educational...

So what is animal communication?
I believe it is where someone pretends to be able to read a pet's thoughts, and tell you things like "She doesn't like the food you are giving her" and "He likes his collar." Sometimes called "Pet psychics."

I've wondered what I'd do at a psychic fair, that's why I asked. I've never thought of anything (legal) that would have any real impact, although I suppose just experiencing all that woo would be an education in itself.

Good luck with sales of your Psychic Energy Diapers Dampers. :)

They could be using that in the context of 911, as in you call them when you have a paranormal "emergency". Ghostbusters.com is probably owned by Columbia.

Can't wait to read your report/review.

I'd go to something like this for the same reason I listen to Coast to Coast: to keep up with the latest spin/scams/claims/etc. It's easy to be cynical and dismiss stuff as hokum, but I prefer keep an eye (or ear in the case of C2C) on the dogs and ponies.

Thanx. Finding crystal-controlled listening devices is the difficult part. Removing the microphone and installing a new battery is not so bad ... some wooists never replace the battery anyway, and still claim them as 100% effective.

I could just wrap a few turns of #22 AWG around some pretty rocks an accomplish the same thing, which is to convince a wooist that these devices really work, and then sell one an exhorbitant price -- way too easy ... there ought to be a law against me ... ;)

Or a cat's hairball wrapped in tin foil, or...;)

I'd like to go with a believer and see how he/she reacts to it, but I must live in the wrong part of the world. I've never seen nor heard of a psychic fair around here. Saskatchewan is so backward. ;)

Surely the advert should just read:

PSYCHIC FAIR

You know where. We know you're coming.

[/rubbish old joke]

I'm not too far south of Anaheim, and I'd be interested in going, although I'm not sure what I'd do there. I'm not willing to pay money to these frauds to have a reading. But it could be good for a laugh - I've never been to anything like this.
