Personally I find this super interesting. Since December of 2024, Kilauea has been erupting in several episodes, currently in episode 26. I'm not sure what the distinction is between 26 episodes of one eruption versus 26 different eruptions, but at any rate it's very, very cool:

As a kid, that dull glow during earlier eruptions really helped reading Lord of the Rings more epic
