On Wednesday, February 2, 2011, Jamy Ian Swiss will be at New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire. His show, "Heavy Mental", is free and open to the public. If any New England skeptics are interested in attending the show, please let the sponsor know by e-mailing showard@nec.edu. The show is at 7:00 pm and there is a beer and wine reception after the show and I need to have some idea of how much food and drinks to order.

Thanks! I'd love to come & see Jamy but it's a 3.5 hour drive each way for me, so I probably can't make it.
 
Will be there. Possibly the Coughlin brothers, Dave and Rick, both fans of magic. Mickie and Dale hopefully but neither drink. (Dale eats...a lot as you may know.)

You can do better than just three replies! And one said he is not coming and one has to check his calendar! Only one is coming.....

I am disappointed with such a miserable, low response. What do I have to do to get you to come to New Hampshire? What do you want me to make Hokulele to do so you would come see Jamy?

If I were anywhere close to New England I'd bring everybody I knew if you posted a picture of her in a Colts jersey.
 
Sorry, but 2 hours to get there midweek in rush hour traffic, and not even being able to get there until a 1/2 hour after the show starts if no one was on the road anyway wouldn't be too fun, not to mention leave no beer time. And there's that snow rumored to be arriving that day too.
 
What? No one can even sneak out of work half an hour early? Even without Hokulele being there I plan to attend. Plus there's beer and wine people. (Dale says he WILL attend, and hopefully Mickie won't get spooked by all that dark magic and mind reading.)

That was last week. More snow this weekend, but no snowstorm next week! :)

Oh, well. More beer for me....
 
Yikes! The local TV station changed the weather forecast and the latest weather report says a foot of wet, heavy snow on Wednesday. Stay tuned for the update. :eek:

Yeah, I'd get out on the road at 5:40 and that 7:30 estimate was for no one on the road. A more realistic estimate would be getting there around 8:30, which would be optimistic for both rush hour and snow. Next time, I'll really try!*




*Yes, I know that's so old sounding to think this way. It's dissappointing me to hear it too!

Yay, Jamy! He came up a day early! He was awesome. Had a lot of free beer, too.

Now, I am settling down for two-feet of snow with a good book and plenty of wine. Got a fireplace going and a hurricane lamp handy so I don't care even if we lose power.
