GOP Cancel Culture for MoH Awardees.

I tried checking the link without the "dei" bit, but that's still 404 not found.

And I did a search of his name on the DOD website, and nothing came up.
The non-dei-tagged link, i.e. the original link to Rogers' DOD page now works.

The dei URL now works, too.
That means some script kiddie is working on making these development changes on the live website without testing and checking them first on a secured development website. Examples Of Worst Practice 101.

Well Hsgarth is showing about 15% of US Service members they are not really wanted.................
The guy is going to be total disaster for the US Military.
I tremble, if we get into a war,how many soliders will die because of his stupidity.

None, because real manly soldiers don't die in battle, so all that die were clearly weak dei hires so that's all right.

From that link
Pentagon Press Secretary John Ullyot replied in a statement: "As Secretary [Pete] Hegseth has said, DEI is dead at the Defense Department. … We are pleased by the rapid compliance across the Department with the directive removing DEI content from all platforms.

So there you have it.

I've heard that the Navajo aren't American citizens anyway.

It wasn't just the Navajo code talkers that got un-personed: The 442nd Regimental Combat Team, famously comprising Japanese-Americans and highly decorated, also got taken out for a while.

Of course they are DEI just like the Tuskegee airmen, and really isn't it better to forget them than make white people feel bad by pointing out our ancestors were racist bastards? You need to think more about white peoples feelings, the only feelings that matter.

Sadly, this is the Trump Regime's attitude towards veterans. You are there to do a job. If you are injured, captured or killed, that's on you and the government owes you nothing.

Again, it looks like some script kiddie did a blanket search and delete on a list of keywords, and now they're scrambling to restore some of the things that people noticed were gone.

If you become disabled you by definition become DEI and the government stops caring about you. Welcome to the oligarchy.
Exactly. They believe the same of all people. This is why they are destroying social security, medicaid/medicare and USAID.

Well of course . . .

A Department of Defense webpage describing baseball and civil rights icon Jackie Robinson’s military service was missing Wednesday morning.

That development comes after pages honoring a Black Medal of Honor winner and Japanese American service members were taken down — the Pentagon said that was a mistake — amid the department’s campaign to strip out content singling out the contributions by women and minority groups, which the Trump administration considers “DEI.”

Try reading the second article Ranb linked. You'll see where the Wikipedia page says this:

"In March 2025, the Department of Defense removed a 'Medal of Honor Monday' news article about Rogers from its website,
modifying the article url to include 'dei' as part of the second Trump administration's efforts to remove references to diversity in American history."

So tell us how that's not attributing Rogers' award of the MoH to "DEI". Seriously, Mike, what the ◊◊◊◊ does Rogers' Medal of Honor, or his dozen other awards, have to do with DEI? How is that not consistent with the false notion that DEI is about giving African American (or Hispanic, or female etc.) people things that they aren't capable of achieving on their own?
Sigh. . . . Seriously??? FYI, the page honoring Rogers' MoH has been restored. A DoD spokesman explained that, just as I suspected, the page was removed during an automated removal process. When the snafu was discovered, it was corrected.

Sheesh, people get a grip, wipe the foam from your mouths, and stop automatically assuming that everything the Trump administration does is "fascist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, oppressive," etc.

But if we stop assuming that, then all we are left with is utter incompetence that needlessly wastes money just to make everyone's life worse. That's only slightly better.

Just gobbling up whatever is spoon-fed to you without a monument of thought.

And for the record, I don't think everything that the Trump administration does is "fascist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, oppressive". You left out "stupid".

and part of this process involves changing the web page name to dei and they're removing a bunch of other pages for dei, it's just clownery to pretend this wasn't exactly what you know it was. every time you give them the benefit of the doubt, they burn you. it's insane.

and you know, stuff like this is petty and stupid. they're doing much more disturbing and damaging things openly, which you should be much more concerned about. but the reason you should be concerned at the core is that they're petty and stupid people. no good comes from petty and stupid people.
