Federal investigators search Giuliani apartment: reports

Poor Rudy has almost as many problems as his boss. Couldn't happen to a nicer ghoul.

DC Bar slaps Rudy Giuliani with ethics charges over election fraud claims

The disciplinary arm of the Washington, D.C., Bar bought an ethics violation case against Rudy Giuliani on Friday over his claims of 2020 election fraud in a federal courtroom in Pennsylvania.

The charges, filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, claimed the former New York City mayor broke Pennsylvania's professional conduct rules in November 2020 when he “brought a proceeding and asserted issues therein without a non-frivolous basis in law and fact for doing so” and “engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice."

The filing zeroes in on how Giuliani, who presented oral arguments in a lawsuit in the federal court brought on behalf of former President Donald Trump's campaign, attempted to use two instances of legally rejected ballots to invalidate up to 1.5 million votes in a state President Joe Biden won by 80,000 votes.

“The only place we have it happening en masse is in the [heavily Democratic] counties that you can call counties controlled by a Democratic machine that have quite an impressive list of voter fraud convictions as part of their history and tradition," Giuliani said, according to the filing. "And all of the sudden, with this greater opportunity to do it, they did it on a grand scale."

However, the Washington Bar filing says Giuliani “should have known the ‘evidence’ he provided” in the case “relied upon false or faulty statistics and analysis.”

Good to hear. Trump sure surrounds himself with great folk.

During the first Jan 6 hearing on TV I did a comparison between the people W. Bush pardoned and the people Trump pardoned.

I'm sure Bush did some political favors but Trump's list is a who's who of the criminal underworld, especially his. The difference is stark. It's just more evidence, in fact huge evidence of who he is. No matter what angle I look at the guy he looks like the criminal he is.

It's like the movie "They Live". People refuse to put the glasses on that allow them to see the very ugly truth.

Speaking of those pardons, Kushner said in the hearing he wasn't involved in the coup because he was working on getting some pardons through. Surely that involved bribes payable to him and/or Rump.

He ain't too happy about it either:

From: Yahoo (originally HuffPo)
Peter Navarro...was up in arms Monday that he wasn’t given special treatment when he was arrested by the FBI...“People do not want to sit in solitary confinement in leg irons ― denied food, denied water, denied an attorney,” Navarro said.

(Never mind the fact that he plans to represent himself, so not how he can claim he was 'denied an attorney'). And prisoners are fed on a schedule, not on demand.)

Remember the good old days when Trump suggested that when cops arrest people they should make no attempt to keep people from getting injured when being put into the police car? I wonder how Navarro would have felt of Trump had his way about that.

Well I guess he now knows what it feels like when his elite white privilege counts for nothing!

The bleating of former Trump aide Peter Navarro, arrested for ignoring Congressional subpoena

"...Al-Qaeda terrorists were treated better than I was...I was thinking to myself, 'This feels like Stalinist Russia.'...

Bwahahaha... you're not in Gitmo pal, but you ought to be. You helped plan a coup against the US government - in some ways, that makes you worse than a terrorist.

Help me, please! I'm looking at a half million dollars in legal expenses...or more! This could go to a million. I've got to raise that money. I can't kill my retirement!"

Well Peter, you should have thought of that before illegally trying to overturn an election to keep the Fat Orange Turd in power.

Just ask Donnie for it. I'm sure he can squeeze more out of his idiot followers.

And for all that, he wasn't arrested for those things he did, but for his subsequent defiance of due process. It may well be that this was the best choice, but it was a deal he chose.

Or, as I think only the Hispanic can say just right, "O pobrecito!"

Back to Guiliani (from Saturday):

On his podcast, Giuliani said Trump "had nothing to do with" the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Instead, he alleged Antifa members posed as Trump supporters.

He said the select committee's hearings are an indication of a "fascist-type government."

It gets worse from there. The Democratic party needs to be toppled from the top.

https://news.yahoo.com/giuliani-says-trump-had-nothing-021425457.html

Of course not. Democracy is evil, or they wouldn't have named the Democrat Party after it.

A couple of witnesses in yesterday's hearing recalled Rudy being drunk on election night.

My guess is he's pretty much drunk every night.

Courageous Giuliani Says Footage of Near-Fatal Pat on the Back Is ‘Deceptive’
Speaking to about 200 people in a Facebook Live, Giuliani called the viral security footage “deceptive.” He claimed the pat packed so much vigor it nearly knocked him and a friend to the ground, but he was able to stay upright because he’s in such good shape for his age.

“The video tape that you see probably is a little deceptive because it just shows a hand on my back,” Giuliani said. “The police observed the whole video tape—not the little piece shown to you by the dishonest press—and they upgraded his charge to second-degree assault, a felony.” ...

“All of a sudden, I feel this, ‘Bam!’ on my back,” Giuliani initially told the New York Post of the incident, later saying the alleged smack caused him “tremendous pain.”

Before the footage surfaced, Giuliani also claimed it felt like “a boulder hit me,” saying in a Facebook video Gill knocked him forward “a step or two.” Speaking on The Curtis Sliwa Show, he said it felt like he had been shot in the back.

“All of a sudden, I feel a shot on my back, like somebody shot me,” Giuliani said, according to The Washington Post.
Maybe he didn't know there was a video of the event. Believe me, don't believe your lying eyes.

You can see the guy barely taps the ex-mayor. You can see Giuliani doesn't move forward even one step. You can see "a friend" was never impacted by anything. Which friend does Giuliani mean?

And though the 'perp' was charged with a felony, it was later reduced to a misdemeanor. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the prosecutor will laugh the charge right down to 'dismissed'.

Rudy is brutally assaulted in Staten Island. Feels horrible pain and his being in great shape prevents him from being knocked over and cracking his skull!!

See the horrific attack! https://theweek.com/rudy-giuliani/1...for-slapping-him-on-the-back-at-staten-island

I'll agree that this is way overblown. But I'll also say that the employee has no business touching him. I'd say there was a better chance of him being startled and keeling over from a heart attack than any physical pain.

There is more chance of his keeling over because he's drunk than from a heart attack.

I don't think Ghouliani has thought this through - it could backfire on him . If this goes to court, he could be subpoenaed to testify, and will have to lie under oath...

Oh, wait!

My favorite quote from Rudy:

"Giuliani said he had no choice but to call the cops. "I say to myself, 'You know something? I gotta get this guy arrested,'" he told the Post. "I talk about 'broken windows' theory all the time. You can't let the little things go. I'm like, 'I'm gonna get this guy arrested as an example that you can't do this.'"
I guess we can only let go the BIG things like inciting a riot/insurrection and trying to stop the certification of electoral votes.

I'll admit, that made me laugh.

Oh for pity's sake! Have you never touched someone on the back as you walked past them as a greeting or to let them know you were behind them or any other number of reasons one might heaven forbid, touch someone?

To be honest, I generally don't invade a stranger's personal space like that. And I don't like people doing it to me, either.

My take is that the guy was trying to get away with as rough a touch as he though he could get away with. You can see the bump moves Rudy forward a little.

My guess is that the perp's been doing this sort of thing since middle school.

Rudy may be an old drunk but he's been around long enough to know when some 2 bit dip shirt like this is messing with him.*

*None of the above comments are meant to imply a favorable opinion of Giuliani

Yeah, they both suck.

I cannot think of a more dramatic fall from grace then Giuliani.
He went from being a national hero on 9/11 to a pathetic joke.

You must have watched a different video than I did.

Rudy does not move forward. The pat is so brief it couldn't possibly have had any force behind it.

I rest my case.

I can't tell if Rudy stepped forward a half step as he got smacked, if he was pushed, or both.

But I've been wrong before.

The slap seems to have elicited a response from the lady next to him as she seems to be rubbing the smack off as the perp turns around to say something to Rudy.

It was recently reported that the guy said something snarky with the back pat. That's what Rudy and the lady next to him were reacting to, not the little patty pat.

And Rudy only takes a very small step after the pat, not with the pat. Then there is Rudy's claiming the woman next to him also almost fell over or something.

It's laughable. And it's a stretch rationalizing no one should touch someone .... for reasons.

Even if you were right in saying no one should touch someone as a general rule of etiquette, that does not make it a crime. It's also considered good manners not to say nasty things to another, even if they're true, and Giuliani would be within reason for declaring it inappropriate, but he'd be a fool to take it further. Oh wait...did I say "would be?" Beg pardon.

"The January 6 Witch Hunt Cabal has now exceeded even its prior fraudulent," he said. "The last witness was a reckless liar. Contrary to her false testimony she was never present when I asked for a pardon."
Rudy really needs to check the ABV of those Diet Pepsis.

Hutchinson didn't testify that she was present, just that he asked for a pardon, and now Giuliani has confirmed that her understanding was correct.

It's a long way down from America's Mayor to America's Doofus, but here we are.

And this guy's supposed to be a great lawyer.

Jesus H. ******* Christ on a Pogo Stick! Rudy hardly even moves! I've been slapped on the back in a friendly way much harder than that! Rudy probably falls down drunk several times a day without being touched! This is ********!
