Trump Immigration policies were terrible and inhumane.
Trump Immigration policies were terrible and inhumane.
Woah, look at those goalposts move.
Yes he is.
But I think that Trump being the Republican standard bearer will result in damaging the nation or doing substantial damage to the Republican party. In fact, I'm convinced that at the leaders of the Democratic party absolutely love the idea of running against Trump and MAGA.

Biden - or least his handlers in this sequel to Weekend at Bernie's - made a policy choice for an open boarder.
We all know if Trump was president it wouldn't have happened. Biden - or least his handlers in this sequel to Weekend at Bernie's - made a policy choice for an open boarder. One of his first acts as president was to revoke Trump executive orders on immigration enforcement.
From the link I posted;
While Biden is not using it, it is being used as an excuse for not prosecuting him.
Then, in keeping with this thread, you should take the results of this report very serious. Biden wont make it to the election. He used to have good days once in a while, but not anymore.
If it ends up Biden and Trump come November, Trump will most certainly win.
I'd rather not have either one.
Well dang, we can't charge him with anything without seeming to be utter Trumpsuckers so let's just do some low case passive/aggressive stuff to appease the big guy.
Oct 7 was a major world event in a precarious area for US trade and security interests. I thought it was a very big deal.
What if it had been "China fires rockets into Taiwan and takes over global shipping lanes!!"
Then should Biden reschedule? or keep his good faith commitments?
What do you think?
ETA:
Inspired by an earthquake I just felt here (always weird)...
What if the San Andreas fault has the "Big One" and Southern California and about 20 million people, including the ports are all in disarray.
Wouldn't it be weird if he chose not to delay the voluntary meetings for that?
Yes he is.

Okay so Biden didn’t use it as a defense like you originally claimed. Thank you for correcting your false assertion. Probably better to stick with the truth going forward.
I believe this was addressed. I'll add that your analogies are lacking substance. The docs Biden had were mixed in with his papers. They weren't security risks etc. etc.It seems that Biden is going to get away with it by using the "elderly" defense. Pence used the "opps" defense. Trump is using the especially insane "those are mine" defense. ....[snipped]
I doubt I would get the same kind of treatment had I done what they did while I was in the US Navy.
I'm not. She isn't doing that well.... I'm more worried that he might not be able to beat Haley if the GOP switches.
Cough-Cannon-cough cough...You are absolutely correct about Trump, except his judges being corrupt, they've mostly ruled against him, which is an odd sort of corruption.
I think you are agreeing Biden has not been ignoring the border? The GOP has been sabotaging all efforts to pass legislation and this isn't the first time they've done that. Remember the campaign to do everything to make Obama a one term POTUS?You are also wrong and naive about Biden.
Especially on the border, the administration has spent three years ignoring the border. That's as much a fantasy as the notion that he isn't senile. I'm still voting for biden though.
i guess that was before the gop shot themselves in the foot on one of their few legitimate talking points and tanked the border deal on trump's order.
Re the highlighted, oh the humanity indeed. I'm not worried about not reading Biden's gaffe story carefully when it wasn't relevant to showing gaffes are not the equivalent of senility much as people in the thread would like them to be.These both seem to be weird criticisms. If he complied as scheduled that is actually a good thing. If he had decided to reschedule or not comply in some way then it would of course be used against him. And then the flak is not a lawyer?! Oh the humanity!
Anyway, I’ve already said that Biden is indeed painful to watch when he calls Sisi the president of Mexico (SG, it doesn’t help matters when you come late to the party and still try to spin things the wrong way by claiming he obviously meant Israel, because he didn’t! He meant Egypt!). Trump is far worse in every way, but I would be really surprised if Biden does much campaigning or extended interviews. Although Trump has been skipping the primary debates, I wonder what would happen if he challenged Biden to presidential debates. Trump would be his usually blistering self, I expect, and would probably make a million errors and BS his way through any debates, but in debates that tends to matter far less than the impression you give by your manner of speech. Would anyone be confident of a Biden-Trump debate now?
... Meanwhile, Johnson, the speaker of the House of Representatives, last week appeared to confuse Iran with Israel while appearing live on Meet the Press. ...
But Watters, at 45, had a “senior moment” of his own.
After parading the likes of Kayleigh McEnany, Stephen Miller and Dana Perino to pile on the president, Watters welcomed another guest. “South Carolina Governor Kristi Noem joins us now,” he said. Noem, of course, is the Donald Trump-lovin’ governor of South Dakota.
Well dang, we can't charge him with anything without seeming to be utter Trumpsuckers so let's just do some low case passive/aggressive stuff to appease the big guy.

Who is moving the goalpost? There is a difference between doing nothing and not doing something cruel, stupid and ineffective.
I don't take this report seriously. It is nothing but a political hack job. He had nothing to support an actual prosecution but as a Republican, he felt he had to say something critical.
It's not cruel to enforce immigration and border policies. Most every other nation does that. For some reason it's considered bad in the USA to prioritize citizens over non-citizens. Enter Japan illegally and demand benefits. Let us know how it goes.
It isnt Republicans going after Biden. Recall that his own people started this whole 'folders in the garage' thing in the first place. And didnt you see what they sent him out to yesterday? A gauntlet.
Biden staying in office and getting the nomination, and lasting til November is good for Republicans. That is the best scenario.
The bolded isn't true except as a GOP false narrative.
SpaceX officials said on numerous occasions between 2018 and last year that it could hire only U.S. citizens and green card holders because of restrictive export control laws which govern the use of rocket and missile technology. The federal government cited several cases in which the company made this assertion publicly and listed citizenship as a requirement in job postings, even though “export control laws impose no such hiring restrictions.”
Perhaps we should stop funding NASA until the border is closed with armed guards every 100 feet.
How about we stop funding any infrastructure until [fill in your own solution to the border problem/crisis].
I have an idea, force all those homeless people to harvest the crops, man the dishwashers in restaurants, and take over the yard maintenance that undocumented workers do now. Then we can deport every undocumented worker in the country right away.
I'm not. She isn't doing that well.
Justice Department accuses SpaceX of hiring bias against refugees
Wouldn't it be neat of the USA government prioritized its own citizens over foreigners?
The US has no problems sending billions to protect borders of foreign countries; but somehow there's just no money to protect its own.
That's it. The elite class needs its servants. That's for making it clear.
Refugees are not illegal immigrants. They are here and need employment like anyone else. It would be just as wrong to discriminate against them as it would be to discriminate against anyone else.
Yeah and wouldn't it be nice if we had started a couple of decades ago educating the tech force we need today instead of having to hire foreign educated workers?Justice Department accuses SpaceX of hiring bias against refugees
Wouldn't it be neat of the USA government prioritized its own citizens over foreigners?
You seem to be missing the fact the US, the UK and the EU are trying to keep Russia from invading a sovereign country. Apparently he wants the resource rich half of Ukraine. The US has no problems sending billions to protect borders of foreign countries; but somehow there's just no money to protect its own.
Nice cherry pick there. So it's only the elite class that eat crops harvested by undocumented workers? That's it. The elite class needs its servants. That's for making it clear.
The current polls are useless. I have more important things to worry about like educating people what senility actually looks like. She isn't. But what happens if Trump is convicted in New York? And the Republican party has to replace Trump?
I have read polls that has Biden beating Trump but losing to Haley. It's early and I don't put a lot of stake in these polls. Still, I think she has a better chance of beating Biden in a head to head match than Trump. Trump is damaged goods.
They are not greencard holders. But only citizens have to follow the rules. Non-citizens? Nah. The elite class hates you.
The current polls are useless. I have more important things to worry about like educating people what senility actually looks like.
Okay so Biden didn’t use it as a defense like you originally claimed. Thank you for correcting your false assertion. Probably better to stick with the truth going forward.
My original claim was that another person was using it as a reason not to prosecute Biden. I did not claim in the OP that Biden was using his age as an excuse.
It seems that Biden is going to get away with it by using the "elderly" defense. .
From the link I posted;

Do you think they're getting treated like the little people or getting preferential treatment?
Cry me a river.....He wasn’t using the defence of elderly! And it wasn’t used as an excuse. It was used as an attack.
Cry me a river.
You still think you would get this kind of preferential treatment if you mishandled classified documents by bringing them to your unsecured home?
Hooray, the upside is we get a weaker opponent, the downside is we lose our democracy? Sheesh, the leaders of the Democratic party are fools. Or cynics.
I know what errors I made. Not the first, will not be the last.I’m not the one crying. I’m pointing out your errors. You should thank me.
It is almost as if the GOP is throwing the election to Biden.....And this tired “weak candidate” argument always conveniently overlooks the numerous weak candidates that Republicans have thrown at Trump. Biden at least has a winning record against him.
I know what errors I made. Not the first, will not be the last.
Cry me a river.

One of the Legal Eagle YouTube videos had a few historical examples of very similar conduct. Some showing how one could avoid being charged after having classified documents and some showing how one ends up charged. One of the key elements was who corrected the issue when. Biden had his staff proactively search for any documents they might have, just like Pence, and they proactively returned them. Another example started as a mistake, and it was the delay after discovery that led to charges iirc.
