Actually both were (pre-emptive?) humor directed at professed psychics, who always try to horn in on deaths like this. They had nothing to do with the child. A little perspective is often a positive thing.

I understand exactly what the point was, it was the use of the search for a dead child as the basis for that attempted humour that I object to.

The trial started last week. So for the fist time there is a video image and photo of the newborn baby seen getting out of a taxi and being put in a buggy in a snack bar, which Gordon had just bought from Argos nearby.

Constance Marten, once seemingly inseparable from Gordon, hasn't been seen in court. Maybe the enormity is catching up on her now that they are in separate prisons.

There seems to have been some sort of coercive control going on there. She didn't know he was an ex-con until after 'marriage' and first child so by then he was never going to let her claimed £10K pcm trust fund allowance out of his grasp.
