With thanks to poster zenbuffy in this thread: http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238797

I'm pleased to discover a "new" psychic challenge is now being offered. It's actually about two years old, but this is the first I've heard of it. It's a €50,000 challenge offered by Irish mentalist/magician, Keith Barry. Here's the info: http://www.independent.ie/lifestyle/keith-barry-wants-to-give-you-50000-2258739.html

So, I've added it to the list below for easy reference:

If you find any mistakes or broken links, or know of any tests not on this list, please notify me in this thread.

Thanks,

Are any or all of these recognized by JREF as either an automatic qualifying test for entry into the JREF test or even an automatic pass on the preliminary test?

Not that I know of. However, successfully passing one of these tests would almost certainly generate the kind of media and academic interest that is required for the MDC. So, it's not automatic, but it should get you there.

Well that's good to know. If I develop a supernatural power I can use that to help me qualify for the MDC. The one I'm working on is grabbing my drink Darth Vador style without having to reach for it. Alas so far no progress, but I suppose even if I do get it working Randi might use his supernatural powers to defeat me in the trial.

Well, if you win all those other prizes and invest properly, you won't need Randi's money.

Why go for any of these prizes? Put your abilities to good use. Going to a casino should produce a tidy profit. Or heaps of other ways depending on your ability.
