When we moved to Xenfora some of the signature options didn't come over. In the old software signatures were limited by a character limit, on Xenfora there are more options and there is a character number and number of lines limit. I've set maximum number of lines to 4 and unlimited characters.

Split Thread Akron police shoot unarmed man 60 times

This one in Akron will probably warrant a thread on its own. My first info on it was the released bodycam footage. It looked pretty standard until the end, when (already verified) eight police officers shot an unarmed man at least 60 times. I thought the chief said "16 times" even though I'd...

Why Are Police So Bad at Their Jobs?

Police budgets are way up, but clearance rates for major cases are way down. Why are cops so bad at their jobs? https://prospect.org/justice/why-are-police-so-bad-at-their-jobs/ All the money in the world and it's all mostly going to putting more goons on the streets and not into detectives...

    Tasers, torture?

Australian Policeman paralysed - culprit fined

Words fail me here. A West Australian policeman trying to subdue a few violent idiots was cowardly tackled from behind and seriously injured. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=747_1236920255 I often cite Australia as a place where the rule of law properly enforced. I will re-examine my position.

Sherlock Holmes fans - Did Scotland Yard hate A.C. Doyle?

I've been a big fan of the Sherlock Holmes stories, and the multitude of Holmes stories by other authors, for some time now. Today, I began to wonder. As Doyle wrote again and again about the bumbling antics of Scotland Yard and the average policeman, was there any animosity towards Doyle by...
