kelly, My post does not mention nor refer to "boycotting" at any time.
Pixel, reference to a baker refusing to provide wedding cakes and rainbow cakes for same sex celebrations is NOT "refusing to serve someone" it is instead a baker exercising his right of choice to refuse to use his personal skills to bake and provide a specific order of a symbolic cake which by so doing would endorse/support the celebration of an immoral, disgusting, abhorrent lifestyle and abomination against Eternal Laws of God and of nature.

So they aren't refusing to serve them based on their prejudices, they're refraining from performing the action of helping or doing work for someone because they find their personal choices abhorrent and abominable.

Let me ask you something, if the same two people had chosen to remain single, would you find them abhorrent and abominable?

Kindergarden children are even being taught they can choose the gender they wish to be...
You remind me of the people who repeat nonsense about blood libel against Jews. We've asked you to back up your claims with evidence, and all you've given us is some examples of people being fined for breaking existing anti-discrimination laws. Do you just believe anything you're told? I recently encountered someone who'd been told that Muslims believe that all Christians have to be dead before their messiah can come. This is, of course, utter nonsense, but when I showed him this was the case and backed my claim up with evidence, he accepted that he'd been misinformed. Do you have any measure of self-doubt at all?

The denseness and inability to comprehend English demonstrated by some posters in this thread, continues to amaze me. Simple sentences are misconstrued, their meanings twisted, distorted and misinterpreted, by the otherwise seemingly intelligent. This could only be from the influence of Lucifer, who delights in confusion and in clouding the minds of those who allow him so to do.
The following facts are simple and should be easy for all to comprehend... a baker is requested to bake a rainbow cake and to decorate it to depict a same sex couple supposedly entering into a "marriage", the baker rightly believes that by doing so he would be demonstrating approval and support for a "celebration" which he considers to be grossly immoral and against the commandment of his God. This should be his choice to make, instead he is summoned to court, fined, his business closed and his livelihood taken from him. This is how the followers of Lucifer try to force their evil immoral standards upon others in the name of "discrimination".

T...a baker is requested to bake a rainbow cake and to decorate it to depict a same sex couple supposedly entering into a "marriage", the baker rightly believes that by doing so he would be demonstrating approval and support for a "celebration" ...
So Mormons who do any work for Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Catholics etc. are showing "approval"? And anyone who prepared a cake for an interracial marriage would be showing "approval" of interracial marriage? Does an attorney who represents his client show "approval" for the charges?

Your logic is as vapid as it is ugly. The Baker has the right to hate people but the baker lives in a society and must abide by the rules of that society. Baking the cake would demonstrate that he is a professional and nothing else.

I suppose that Mormons think that showing kindness to gays, lesbians and their children is evil. Where does Christ say to judge your neighbor and refuse to help your neighbor?

Did the Samaritan show approval of Jews? Or was the Samaritan a decent person?

Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of that, as well. Probably not in the same posts as you, however.

Repeating your anecdote, with insults, does not make it any less an anecdote. Your assertions, no matter how passionate, are not "facts".

Please take this opportunity to provide actual evidence of:

1. A single instance of a "christian preacher" in the United States of America or its territories, possessions, or insular regions, who has been "fined and gaoled for 'discriminating' by teaching the word of God regarding homosexual activity". A link to a neutral source would be polite, and extremely useful.

2. A single example of an "adoption agency" in the United States of America or its territories, possessions, or insular regions, that has been "legally forced to close for refusing to facilitate adoption of the children in (its) care to same sex couples". Again, an actual link to a neutral source would be polite, as well as furthering the discussion.

3. A single example of a "Baker", a "shop keeper", a "provider of other wedding services", or a "providers of accommodations" in the United States of America or its territories, possessions, or insular regions, who has been "taken to court, fined, and had (their) business closed" for "refus(ing) to provide wedding cakes and rainbow cakes for same sex celebrations". Once again, as much fun as unsupported anecdotes can be, please provide a link to a neutral source.

4. A single example of a "Christian Church" (or for that matter, a church of any denomination) in the United States of America or its territories, possessions, or insular regions, upon which an attempt to "force" to "preform same sex marriages or take the consequences of refusing to do so" has been made. A link to a neutral source demonstrating such an instance would be splendid.

...why are you not up in arms about the Radical Serial Monogamist Agenda that "forces" the baker to make "divorce cakes"? Isn't divorce just as much an abomination, a violation of "eternal law" as what you so kindly and with such xianist charity call "an immoral, disgusting, abhorrent lifestyle"? Are practicing Wiccans less of an abomination?

What about the inhuman perverts who force her to produce coffee-flavored and mocha-infused muffins?

What about the baker who refuses to serve LDS, because she considers them satanic, un-xianist heretics?

What about a baker in Lubbock, TX who refuses to use her personal skills to produce a tailgate cake for *lohoma fans?

Your hate knows no bounds. I feel for you. The revelation given to me by The Lordtm says that you do evils work very well, and show the LDS church to be an organization of intolerance and hate.

Two men, or two women who love each other, and wish to be a family is not immoral. It may be against the commandment of your evil, vile god, but you choose to follow a false being.

If the baker wishes to do business with the public, then they will follow the law, which includes anti-discrimination laws.

And I know you will ignore this.

in a shop, "serving someone" means selling them an IN STOCK shop item... it does NOT mean specifically creating an item for them, to their specifications, which violates the sellers religious beliefs and convictions.

That is an odd thing to say about a baker who sells made to order wedding cakes.

Is that how "gaoled" turned into "fined"? It's good you can acknowledge your own shortcomings. It's a step in the right direction, but you still need to provide evidence for even that.

Janadele -

If the baker is doing the Lord's work, why does the Lord allow the baker's business to be closed and his family to suffer?

...God is weaker than homosexuals. I never would have thought so, but Janadele has convinced me.

Why would god not want these two men to marry, when after they did so, they ended up adopting 14 children? Was this lucifers work? Looks like a pair of standup men, who started a family, and gave many children a loving home.

Do you condemn this? Does your god condemn this?

You condemn two men, starting a family, and adopting 14 children into their lives, giving them a home.

I cannot help but feel that you are a hate filled person, and that whomever it is that is telling you to hate, is a vile, evil individual.

You do not worship a god of love.

I truly, honestly, feel sorry for you.

Let go of your hate.

Bollox.
'Refusing to serve someone' : 4 words
Your immoral, disgusting and abhorrent diatribe: 48 words.
