Dr Phil promotes "Satanic Ritual Abuse" conspiracy theory

An honest mistake, ac2012, and proof you are not Doug or one of his minions.

I don't want to give Shurter any clicks. What was his whine about?

:D

Nobody's ever who they say they are with that lot. Everyone is either multiple personalities, or pretending to be ordinary when they're "actually" the embodiment of evil and famous. Even that lot think they're brave heroes when they're actually doing harm. And Byington thinks she works for the Utah AG, even though they say she's a liar.

Talk about confusion! They're driving around in a world where everyone they see is evil except for themselves and a few brave friends (to paraphrase David Wong on 9/11 truthers).

Here's another excellent one-star review of Twenty-Two Faces from a reviewer who has worked in the mental health field.

The subsequent discussion has also been interesting.

I do have a question. In looking at license information on Judy Byington, I found this information:
LCSW license issued to Judy Byington on 1/1/1911 and expired 12/31/1983
CSW license issued to Judy Byington on 1/7/1910 and expired 9/30/2000

Am I missing something here? That would mean that Judy Byington is well over 100 years old.

This may be naivety on my part, but it looks like the thread for this review has the potential to be more productive and have less hysterics from 22 Faces supporters than most of the others. The reviewer is well informed and has shared some really illuminating information.

If you are concerned about increasing his Google Rank and thus prevent something like this from happening, you can use Donotlink.com. So David Shurter's webapege's link would turn into www.donotlink.com/davidshurter.com/ and clicking on it will not affect his Google Page Rank. However, his server will still record the hits which might give him the satisfaction of knowing he has a popular website.

Surely this is some sort of error?

That's pretty much what I assumed, and I did a thread search to see if this had already been discussed here and I just missed it. I don't see that it's ever come up, though, and I'm on the verge of writing the Utah DOPL and asking if they can clarify.

Agreed, I think it's a great review, and it speaks volumes that even the insane, ranting Felicity Lee seems to want to avoid going off in that particular thread (not to mention that soon afterwards, yet another suspicious and vague 5star review appears so that Felicity, Blue Moon et al can converse on and on 'great review!' 'I totally agree!').

I don't necessarily approve of gaming Amazon, but if anyone is at all inclined to read the Grandma Doobie (gotta love that handle!) review and vote it up, it could help.

@cosmicaug: I'm not especially concerned about his page ranks. I find him a truly disturbed individual and just don't want to repeat the mistake of being involved in arguing with him.

I'm not familiar with the parties involved here, but I like Felicity's astute observation.

I am sorry, but I also have a degree in psychology - a subject where any good university expects that you would know how to spell receive - the rule of i before e doesn't apply. Nope - not buying it.

That's right. Nobody with a reputable degree in psychology would ever mistype the word "receive". What a giveaway!

A middle Georgia woman who said her alternate personality killed a businessman has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

A jury took about half an hour to return a guilty verdict against 55-year-old Pamela Moss Thursday.

Investigators have said Moss bludgeoned 67-year-old Doug Coker in his head with a hammer and hid his body underneath her porch in March 2012. Moss also pleaded guilty to manslaughter in her mother's 1997 poisoning death.

A psychologist hired by Moss' attorney said she has dissociative identity disorder, and that he met one of her personalities named "Caroline."

Prosecutors said references to "Caroline" bludgeoning Coker didn't come to light until the third day of the trial, and another psychologist found no evidence of an identity disorder.

Her defense lawyer argued that Moss was not responsible, because she suffered from multiple personalities and acted under a "delusional compulsion."

In his closing arguments, District Attorney Fred Bright called that argument "garbage, pure garbage" and told the jury to "throw it out the window."

He said Moss' actions showed that she knew right from wrong and acted to cover up the killing.

I wonder how F Lee and crowd will spin this.

Back for round 2

Those of you with Amazon accounts, please consider hitting the "report abuse" link on some (or all) of the comments linked below.

These are from Amazon's resident He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (who is back on Amazon after a 6 month suspension - said suspension resulting from the large volume of people flagging his comments back in January and February) and his equally deluded and malicious sidekick. Listing so many links may seem like overkill, but according to Amazon's customer service, reporting each individual comment does help to build a case against a user if they are repeatedly violating guidelines.

All the comments listed here accuse posters of one or more of the following: engaging in pedophilia, "protecting" pedophiles/abusers, being a "perp", harming and/or exploiting a child (given the context this one disturbs me the most).

In no particular order, numbered for convenience:

link 1, link 2, link 3, link 4, link 5, link 6, link 7, link 8, link 9, link 10

link 11, link 12 (this one even contains a threat: "you will discover what it is to be 'abused' and possibly, you will finally understand"),

link 13, link 14, link 15, link 16, link 17, link 18, link 19, link 20

link 21, link 22, link 23, link 24, link 25, link 26, link 27, link 28, link 29

For the record, this is all from "Grandma Doobie's" once-stellar review thread. The discussion over there was very productive and insightful for awhile; there was even a poster who considered herself a "survivor" but heavily criticized Byington. All of those posts were lost when G. Doobie pulled the review in desperation and re-published it, and now they've been replaced by F. Lee and Shurter's hysterics. They are doing everything they can to silence any productive, critical, public discussion of Byington and 22 Faces.

It's too late to edit my previous post, but it looks like Shurter's comments are all being removed. I guess several people were already bringing his comments to Amazon's attention.

Orphia, I doubt they'll even acknowledge it. This is just like the "Twilight Rapist" case in Texas, which featured Colin Ross as an expert witness for the defense, as well as these two cases (here and here - fair warning, they are graphic). Not a peep out of them about how often DID is used an excuse for horrific behavior, or how their fearless therapist-heroes are "defending abusers".

This is very much like the Twilight Rapist trial because at the end of that trial the judge told the jury to disregard Colin Ross' testimony.
I read the transcript of Colin Ross' testimony and it reads just like the Monty Python dead parrot skit.

Who cares which one of Pamela Moss Identities did it? Point being, It was done! A danger to society! Done deal, needle time!

Hey all, Rob Steffen here. So this is a thing:

youtube.com/
watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=D9sBhbH7ol4#t=590

Sorry for the line break, Im not allowed to post a URL yet, I guess.

Just to be clear, this username is the only one I've posted under here, and then over at Amazon, I only post under my name.

I'm 20 mins in to this video, and pretty disinterested in continuing, but I thought maybe it was worth correcting this mistake.

Rob - felicity lee and David Shurter are a pair of disingenuous psychos who want to weave a new conspiracy about amazon and 'OMG TROLLS!' They've blatantly lied about myself, Karmakaze and Grandma B. being the sockpuppets of Doug Mesner, Debbie Nathan, and anyone else leading the charge against their brand of satanic panic. Felicity Lee made a transparent and pathetic attempt to pose as a journalist "investigating the phenomenon of abusive trolls, OMG!!!!!".

But most egregiously disgusting of all, Felicity Lee has made a false accusation about Karmakaze and a YouTube video which she claims involves a young relative of hers. An accusation that she of course, cannot back up with a screen capture or link of any kind. Consider how gross and inappropriate it is for Felicity Lee to weave a lie involving someone she claims to be her relative, just to vindicate herself on the internet? If you had any doubts about her moral compass this dispels them.

All of this is to say, Rob, you certainly don't have to worry about any of us believing Shurter's stupid claims. And yes, the video is absolutely unwatchable tangential drivel. Do not waste your time on it.
