Below 50 ,they were dressed , high, and engaging in activity. Compare that to naked , dripping wet and scooting slowly on a mat with the door left open all night, must have felt like 38 degrees.

It probably did feel like 38 degrees, I agree. Then why open the doors? I don't get it. Is there any evidence or testimony that shows the doors open at any point that night? If not it is just another of those Massei could have might have maybe so's. I don't believe people should be convicted on that. Do you?

There are 28 samples of blood from downstairs/outside. 22 amplified positive for human DNA.

Of those, 3 Egrams were generated:

1) Blood from comforter
2) Blood on lightswitch
3) Another blood on lightswitch

All three Egrams have been suppressed.

So, what I have learned is that it's not cat's blood, and moreover, the prosecution feels the need to lie about that to cover it up.

Gee, someone with a cut across their hand just might get some blood on a light switch. Suppressed, you say.

Oh my goodness!
This post has me laughing out loud!
:D

Gosh,
I bet that Amanda, practicing playing that same ol' Beatles song over+over again from the outside balcony during the daytime, +Rudy Guede breaking that outside window on a quiet November holiday night, and all the cars driving by daily+nightly must have really helped set the tone for some perfect serenity in Perugia...

'Hot air' (posts) balloon get it?

Convicted on one point no of course not.

Average daytime temperatures on November 2nd are more than 15 degrees higher than they were that night. Also, what makes you think that the heat wasn't on inside the cottage Briars??

WOW!!!

I was speaking of the front door that Amanda said was left open all night. The cottage would have been very cold that morning having lost all the heat of the day.Feeling even colder with dripping wet hair and wandering moving around on the mat.

Thank you for this information. I just put it into Google Earth and the distance is in fact 66 meters. I'm going to add this to my blog and then link the Satellite diagram here later today. Who pegged it at 45 meters? The prosecution??

Try Google Distance calculator.
Or maybe you got the wrong house.

I have not done this type of thing in awhile but my understanding this tool was a straight line distance calculator. In this case from Nara's window straight out until that point on a plane above that point in the cottage. Try the distance calculator from the top of some high steps to the bottom. Does the result make sense?

Meredith and the others left when it was still warm Those electric heaters are turned on when needed due to cost. I believe Meredith encountered an unpleasant group on her return and no heat was turned or needed at 9pm.The fact that the front door was open all night and window was broken also cooled the house.

Gee I thought you were talking about Meredith still in her damp clothes for the last two hours after walking home in that cold drizzle. Would she open the windows/doors for a party?

beyond the pale

Is there any reasonable explanation, that does not include deliberate destruction of evidence, for how or why the bra clasp would have been stored this way Halides?
codyjuneau,

I cannot think of any legitimate reason to store the clasp with an aqueous buffer. It just beggars belief that anyone could make a mistake of this kind. The CSC talked about standards versus common sense of the workers. Maybe someone can explain how common sense would ever in a million years suggest that storing a bra clasp with water is a good idea. MOO.

So your theory has Amanda, Raffaele, and Rudy all there at 9PM when she got home?

Did they store it in water really? I thought it collected moisture in the plastic bag and a paper one should have been used.

Either that, or in Perugia, it's the cats who use the lights and the bums who poop in the woods.

Suppressed egrams are:

#601 blood from mattress (I had said comforter, that's wrong)
#688 lightswitch
#689 lightswitch

Curious thing about the lightswitch egrams: they are the only downstairs samples that were tested after Knox/Sollecito/Lumumba were arrested (actually, they were tested on the evening of 11/6)

The discussion of sound travel has been interesting but much of it has gone beyond me because I don't know what the physical layout is and I am not acquainted with the scientific details of sound propagation.

But why is it important? Is there evidence that can be used to definitively determine the time of the alleged scream? Am I being mislead because I have a strong view that AK/RS are innocent? Is there any reliable way to determine when the alleged scream was heard or even that the noise was a scream that came from the house where MK was murdered?

It seems like there is so much conflicting evidence about the alleged scream that it is hard to see how it constitutes evidence of anything even if could have been heard by the people that claim to have heard it.

Right now, to this observer this evidence seems so vague and unreliable it is hard to understand why this fact isn't apparent to everybody.

I agree completely Dave. The prosecution should either prove it if they are using it (and they are) or at the very least, let the defense run some tests to see if it is indeed possible.

To my point. Your contribution has for the most part been lost in the tedium of echos and mas(c)h potatoes.

The article was great and as may recall I suggested someone translating into English from science would be helpful.

The author should be included in a YT video on the DNA.

I think that is when I suggested pointing out the fundamental difference between full blown DNA used to identify something obviously associated with the crime like a semen stain versus a testing randomly collected items (kitchen knife) for LCN DNA.

To illustrate the issue with LCN, I'd tell the story of the German cases where the same DNA kept showing up causing great concern until it was discovered it was the DNA of someone working in the glove factory. In Germany that led to getting better gloves while in Italy it probably would have led to arrest as a mass murderer and an animated video showing she was able to travel far and wide committing the crimes.
.
:D
And a whole community of guilters explaining for eternity how the guy had ingeniously got the job at the glove factory in order to have an alibi when his DNA showed up at the crime scenes. Then they would slap each other on the back, insult the parents, friends and supporters of the 'murderer', grab their teddy bears and go to bed happy.
.

As far as I know it rained the night before, which would only leave the ground wet and expel any myths about a wall climb with no evidence. I bet Meredith would have taken her light jacket off after half an hour but was busy arguing with the defendants.

No I think they came after , but as soon as they arrived the focus to finish laundry or turn on the heat was lost.

So what unpleasant group did Meredith encounter when she arrived home at 9PM?
