Continuation Part 5: Discussion of the Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito case

So? So what if it is Amanda being Amanda? Even you, SH, do not believe she killed anyone.

You see, the issue ISN'T that this behaviour is a sign of her killing anyone, the issue is that the PLE is saying that she purposely duped them into a premature "case closed" that involved Patrick Lumumba. The PLE is saying that all the weird behaviour was purposeful, to throw them off suspecting either her of Raffaele.

The PLE said they solved this case by simply observing behaviour, before any of the forensics were in. Once the forensics were in the case had to be reopened, and then blamed on Knox for the reopening.

Sorry for picking on you with this. But aside from Katie Couric and Chris Cuomo, who in their right mind thinks that Knox's behaviour good, bad or indifferent means anything?

Unless you take the brief kiss outside the cottage, put it on an infinite loop and suggest that Knox and Sollecito's response to a horrible murder was immediate tonsil-hockey? What possible agenda does it serve to focus on behaviour?

I never said it has anything to do with guilt, though it may have, but it definitely is strange, beyond belief, as Tesla can not see.

First off, I don't think I believe every tale that keeps being exaggerated.

I'm not sure this is all that strange either. I've been around a lot of death in my life. When my mother passed away, when my father passed away, when my uncle passed away and countless friends as well. Crying may be normal, but so is laughing. There is only so much you can do when someone dies and it all feels surreal. And I bet when you lose a new friend, it is really strange. After a month, how attached do you get to another person? What is normal is to run the gamut of emotions.

When my mother passed away, I played golf the very next day. It sure beats the hell out of sitting Shiva. But on the other hand, I'm Irish and I think the best way to deal with death is to have a wake. One big party to celebrate someone's life.

Maybe Emily Post wouldn't approve of this behavior, but I'm not sure anyone goes by Emily Post any more anyway.
More importantly, how does it link her to either a murder, or of her participating in a conspiracy to cover up the facts of the murder?

That is the ONLY way this could possibly be interesting. Who cares if some random Seattleite reacted to a murder either inappropriately or strangely?

This appears to be the sum total of the case against Amanda and Raffaele - and no one has yet been able to explain how Amanda's weird behaviour implicates Raffaele in a murder!?

Who cares? I remember when one of the guilt sites summarized the loss of the DNA evidence as well as the superwitness evidence. This was pre Oct 3, 2011, and the guilt site was confident that with no DNA in play, and with Nara and Curatolo discredited..... there was all the other evidence.

What this "all the other evidence" was, was the behaviour. So? No one has been able to explain the "so?" to this day.

One day, the Kerchers are going to get justice out of this. Justice in this case will be the Republic of Italy informing the Kerchers that Rudy and Rudy alone killed their loved one. And soon he's on the street.

I never said it has anything to do with guilt, though it may have, but it definitely is strange, beyond belief, as Tesla can not see.

Hardly, and definitely NOT suspicious. The only thing that makes it even sound strange is your characterization of what happened, not what happened. For example, the world made a big deal out of Amanda's hug and a kiss in front of the cottage, when in fact there was nothing strange about that kiss.

Hilarious, I'll tell you guys the thing I personally find the 'strangest'. About a half hour before Meredith's door is kicked in, Saint Amanda, knocks on Meredith's door and calls her name, with no reply, she knocks harder and harder, calling out louder and louder until she is screaming, 'MEREDITH', she runs outside to see if she can walk along the ledge and see in Meredith's window, bad angle, Raff tries his darnest to kick down Meredith's door, if only he had kept up with his kickboxing and the door wasn't made out of a titanium alloy. Then, a half hour later, when superman jr kicks open the door, Amanda and Raff are in the kitchen, having already done her part......

What is truly hilarious is that that statement isn't even yours. You are just parroting it from the guilter sites.

My response the first time that was persented here is the same as it is now. By looking at all of the information it is easy to see how this played out. Amanda gets herself into a panic trying to get a response from Meredith's room. After Raffaele pulls her off of the railing she makes a call to her mother while Raffaele goes back to try and open the door. Amanda's mom tells her to call the police. Amanda interrupts Raffaele and relays that they should call the police. Raffaele calls his sister and she gives him the same instruction: get out of the house, don't touch anything and call the local police.

Now, can you honestly find anything wrong with this sequence of events?

that's one fictional scene, created by the gathering of various articles.
theres other fictional scenes, an abundance of fictional scenes that can be applied.

I may have. What we have here, then, is a failure to communicate. I seriously do not get the post at all!

You saying, you don't find that strange, that is what was being talked about.
My opinion on whether or not it is strange means nothing - esp. if what's at stake here is whether or not the world is interest in MY opinion on the strangeness or non-strangeness of a perfectly random Seattleite.

If "strange" were what was at issue here, I would not participate. Who cares, really, if some perfectly random Seattleite is strange or not.

Now what IS interesting is the activities of the PLE - who parlayed strangeness or non-strangeness into a virtual kidnapping of this random Seattleite.

They needed a scapegoat so bad for Rudy's crime, that they parlayed saying "ta-da", crying at inappropriate (or even at appropriate) times, eating pizza, doing yoga, buying underwear, nuzzling with her boyfriend.... they parlayed THAT into a reason to charge her with murder.

Saying "ta-da", crying at inappropriate (or even at appropriate) times, eating pizza, doing yoga, buying underwear, or nuzzling with her boyfriend - who in God's good green acre cares?

However, parlaying this into charging and convicting her of staging a break-in, carrying a knife for no lawful purpose, and murder - not to mention the arcane crime of calunnia..... no THAT'S something worth writing and blogging at length about.

Why would grown men, and grown women who are sworn to defend Perugia from criminal acts - why would they tell the Kerchers who've had the worst and most vile criminal act descend upon their kin - why would it at all be interesting the weirdness, strangeness or awkwardness of some random person 1/3 of the way around the world of where her comfort zone is.... why would ANYONE draw a line connecting those dots?

However, when detective Marco Chiacchiera suggested to both Mignini and Napoleoni that there still was not enough to charge Knox and Sollecito, much less Lumumba, with anything, both Mignini and Napoleoni did a gut check and decided to throw the whole shooting match....

...... not just at the random Seattleite who allegedly has weird behaviour....

...... but also Raffaele Sollecito who no one has accused of having weird behaviour!!!!!!

You see, the weird behaviour claim is being misapplied. The weird behaviour belongs to detectives and public prosecutors who, acc. to the latest in the friggin' Daily Mail, should never in a million years have taken this thing to trial.

Now THAT'S weird behaviour!? Why is no one talking about this? Why are seasoned American journalists like Katie Couric and Chris Cuomo not talking about THAT!

Mignini's weird behaviour destroys lives. It empties bank accounts for no other reason than that Mignini has a slutty mind, who sees ritualist killings where it was a burglary gone wrong by one man....

... a man who Mignini then cut a deal with. How's THAT's for weird behaviour!?

What is strange? What is weird? What is strange to one person is perfectly normal to another. AND THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!! People aren't made from jello molds. For the life of me, I don't understand piercings and tattoos. I actually don't understand jewelry either for that matter. Or Grunge or country music. And opera either. But I love football, futbol, and golf. But I know that chasing a little white ball is strange to some people too.

I'm like Amanda in the way that I laugh all the time and at the most inappropriate things including "black humor" I almost told a joke about the Space Shuttle Challenger blowing up. You guys remember that? Things like What did you hear just after the Challenger blew up? I said a Bud Lite!!! Or other tasteless jokes. BTW, I almost told one of those jokes to my new Step mother when I was about 20. I didn't know that her brother was Commander Dick Scobee who was the Commander of the Space Shuttle Challenger.

Ooooops!!!

I can't tell you how clueless people are at reading what is going on with other people. Every time you think you know, they prove you wrong.

My goodness guys, that's right from Amanda's 'E-mail to Friends', the titanium door is mine but I was just trying to help poor Raff there, you know.

As I said, there is nothing strange about that except your characterization. You colored her guilty. Like the joke that Amanda's lawyer made when he said Amanda is like Jessica Rabbit from "Who framed Roger Rabbit?" when Jessica Rabbit said "that she is not bad, she's only drawn that way".

That's right, and sitting on Raff's lap, making faces and sticking tongues out at one another while everyone around is grieving and in tears, not strange at all, it's just Amanda being Amanda.

Wow, you got a lot of mileage out of this one, Sherlock! ;)

Don't you wonder why this is the information we happen to have about what was going on at the Questura? I think it's because the other young adults who were there were asked leading questions in their interviews with Mignini. Just as Mignini led Amanda to say she had heard a scream, he led the others to address whether they had noticed anything different or unusual about Amanda. It's only natural they would search their memories for the oddest five minutes out of the hours they were there.

We're all capable of it -- your neighbor gets arrested for domestic violence and suddenly you say, "Come to think of it, I did notice something weird about him," even though it's something you never reflected on until the guy was suspected of something else.

If Filomena had been arrested, Mignini would have asked the others if they had noticed anything unusual about Filomena that day, and no doubt they would have come up with something (irrelevant) about her.

I suspect Filomena even less of this crime than Knox or Sollecito.... but let's continue that thought.

Filomena, a front door key holder and in town with her boyfriend her only alibi. What if Napoleoni had an instant dislike of Filomena and started asking leading questions about her? What would have Napoleoni done with someone who observed, "Well, I don't really know where Filomena was on the night of the 1st, but when the cottage was behind police tape, I did see her leave with her laptop from her bedroom."

Filomena was the one who said, "This must be a stupid burglar, he didn't take anything.... and it's a strange break-in, the glass was on top of everything..." yet it is Filmena who swipes evidence from the very room that there's a question about - was it or was it not a real break-in? Now we'll never know, because the cunning criminal, Filomena Romanelli, not only makes one of the accusations about the nature of her room, she takes her laptop that presumably had glass on top of it.

Also, did Filomena EVER come into contact with Rudy Guede? She'd admitted on the stand that she "had sinned" as she put it. Did she buy drugs from Rudy? Was that what she needed to erase from her computer?

Acc. to Machiavelli (remember him?) it was common among the young in Perugia to exchange sex for drugs. Some people even went too far and accused Machiavelli of suggesting that Rudy was a pimp FOR these female students. But be that as it may, are you sure you can prove that drug dealers are not in Filomena's phone directory?

And speaking of weird behaviour.... Filomena immediately lawyered up... and not because she thought she could be suspected of murder, but because she was concerned she'd be on the hook for the damage in her room, or for rent from a cottage which might be behind police tape for weeks.

And 47 days later, they go back to retrieve a bra-clasp that's been kicked around Meredith's floor, all to prove that Filomena's boyfriend also participated in it. But.... if he would only cave in and name Filomena, then he might avoid 30 years in jail.

In THAT context, after Filomena had been held suspected of murder.... do you think that acquaintances of Filomena's might be persuaded to remember strange behaviour she exhibited on occasion - like a kiss that can be replayed on an endless loop of video?????

This is how guilt is constructed. Why bother with evidence that there's no DNA of Filomena's found in the murder room at all? Strangely, there's none of Amanda's there either... there's no DNA of actress Joan Collins either..... maybe Joan Collins did it!?

Yes, but isn't it amazing though, Tesla stated only that he found nothing Amanda did as strange, and I replied with several instances and everyone jumped on board to somehow protect her...... Really, this is hilarious, possible the worse thing going against Amanda, is the way she acted strangely after the murder, the evidence doesn't amount to much and yes, acting strangely doesn't make her one bit guilty at all, she was acting strangely before the murder, but again, that was just Amanda being Amanda.

Protect her!? What?

All I'd like to know is what her behaviour, weird or not, had to do with this horrible murder?

Or the "behaviour" of the PLE who tried to use her behaviour, weird or not, to implicate her - check that.... to close the case based on this behaviour and no forensics?

Protect her? You must be funnin' me.

Bill, I'm not sure how to put this, but, who said anything about it having anything to do a murder? The discussion was only whether or not she acted 'strange'. Tesla did not think so, as well as few other PIP's while the rest of the known world kinda think she did.

You know, I've spent a lot of time in places like Capitol Hill in Seattle, and Venice Beach in So Cal and Haight Ashsbury in SF. I thought I've seen some pretty strange behavior in my life. However, Amanda kissing Raffaele or eating pizza or buying underwear doesn't exactly qualify as strange.

I agree, those you just listed are not strange at all, however, the ones I listed I do believe are considered 'strange'.

Nope, a couple of 20 year olds making faces at each other or Amanda knocking on Meredith's door is not strange either.

Men dressing like women is strange. Guys and girls with piercings in their chin is strange. There is this guy who I've seen on Broadway with surgically implanted spikes in his head. Guy wearing leather chaps and women wearing dog collars and leashes and ball gags is strange.

I've yet to hear about any behavior of Amanda or Raffaele as strange or suspicious.

Ok.... speaking of strange behaviour in unusual circumstances.

Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver, 2010. What is this couple up to? It all depends on your perspective doesn't it!?

What possible interest could it have, then, if even you admit it had nothing to do with the murder? You do realize, don't you, that this is the reason she was arrested!?

Or is it of interest to pull some random person out of a crowd and ridicule them for weird behaviour?
