Because all she does is move the goalposts, demand special pleading and refuse to engage with us to make a protocol. That is the textbook definition of someone who does not want their claims tested!

That's why this thing called science has this thing called standards of evidence. That's how rational thinkers can identify this thing called objective reality.

But Troo Bleevers (TM) think that evidence is anecdotes and "it's true coz I said it is so there!" It's like "ufology" - it's impossible to argue rationally with someone so deluded and who has no grip on reality.

There are qualified testers available through various skeptical organizations, who are very well acquainted with designing and executing protocols for just this type of claim. Follow through with a well designed, controlled experiment arranged and supervised by such an iindependent individual, and have the results displayed in this thread.

So why does she keep shifting the goalposts, back-pedalling and having hissy fits whenever we ask for evidence for these claims. All we do is chase a chimera that never gets any closer. She has refused to design a protocol to allow her claims to be tested. It's not my fault that Tracey has stuck her fingers in her ears and gone lalalala I can't year you. If she's unable to engage with us how is it my fault? Now log off and calm down!

Come back once you have cooled off as getting upset is not going to help matters.

Tracy hasn't attempted much of anything, she hasn't even attempted a verifiable claim of what she is experiencing. The vast majority of people have not heard anything that would make them think that she was recording spirit voices.

No one has declared it fake but rather her conclusions as being wrong. I think you and her are hearing voices. You have concluded it is spirits while everyone here has concluded that it is common pareidolia. Not one shred of evidence has been produced in support of your conclusions and no real attempt has been made to try and verify them either.

Claim and protocol are all we need to get started. Lets work on that and save the hurt feelings for another time. You two prove your paranormal claim and you change the world forever, lets get started.

Sorry but the burden of proof is on the claimant and no one else. Help Tracy with formulating a claim and developing a protocol for testing it.

^ This. Unless Tracey designs a protocol and engages with us to test the claim, all she is doing is wasting her and our time. Hearsay and anecdotes are completely worthless to us as they prove absolutely nothing. This point has been made many times before to many other claimants (a certain flying saucer and green men enthusiast is completely unable to get this concept).

No, dude, that isn't how it works. YOU made the claim. The burden of proof is on you. (Or Tracy or whatever incarnation appears next.) You attempting to shift it is a standard cop out.

You are not the evidence. Either provide some or be quiet. You are just muddying the waters.
