How can Sweden fairly prosecute Assange when they don't prosecute GW Bush?

Not what has been asked for.
Not by me

My question was a very logical follow on from your position.

I ask you again, "Why should Assange get a "get out of a trial, let alone jail" free card because his website recieved a large number of classified documents a d he decided to post them? If he should, how long should it last for?"

Watergate is Off-topic

Why? It is a example of a "big leak" and charges you were looking for.

Snowden is off-topic

Why? This is a definite big leak.

I disagree with you
Assange should not get a free pass on his accusations just as he is responsible of the leaks

Difference between Assange and Snowden:
USA don't have an interest in Assange (no extradition request, no charges, nothing.)
Snowden is charged for espionage

Wrong. I compared his case to Assange's case and noted how dissimilar they are, while killing argument about USA influence on Assange's case.

So, you cannot refute that comparison.

Although if you think I was offtopic, report it... (But don't be suprsied by inaction about that)

Since the cases are dissimilar, then Assange is not politically prosecuted.. interesting logic! :D

If you think Assange should not get a free pass, why don't you support him going to Sweden for questioning?

If you support Assange not being extradited, you support Assange getting a free pass.

If you think that that is disagreeing with the majority of posters here, including Border Reiver, then you haven't been following the conversation.

You are the one who has been arguing that the prosecution of Assange is unfair, and that it should not continue, because it "could be" politically motivated because he is unpopular with the USA authorities. You are effectively saying that he should not face prosecution because his website has published a large number of classified documents. Everyone else has been arguing against this position.

False
I am not saying that he should not face prosecution in general

If you spent a little more time saying what you mean to say rather than what you don't mean to say this thread would probably be a lot shorter.

What can I do if people spend time attacking and insulting me rather than reading what I write?

What you can do is instead of replying "I do not say this" you can reply "what I think should happen is. ....". If you have time to do one, you have time to do the other. Simple, no?

I already did as you say.
But people keep writing strawmen and I get tired..

So, how can Sweden convince you and Mr. Assange that the charges against him are not being brought because of political pressure from the US?

Fr example doing something more than a mild accusation against the US for their invasion of Iraq
