You misunderstand. I asked if any of the defendants claimed the final solution never took place, not if they knew about it. There is a big difference.
The discussion is on SilencerTalk.com. It started out as a discussion on atheism and degenerated into holocaust denial. I am venting my spleen in a way that would be unacceptable on most forums.http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=108749&p=847326#p847326

The researchers have cataloged some 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps throughout Europe, spanning German-controlled areas from France to Russia and Germany itself, during Hitler’s reign of brutality from 1933 to 1945.

So the Germans had over a 1/2 million overseers of the camps?
No, I understood perfectly well what was being asked, I just have a lot more experience in observing deniers weasel out of things by moving goalposts. Therefore you have to be very, very clear what is meant. In this case, the denier didn't bite on your hook, judging by that thread, so it doesn't really matter.
But I've seen multiple threads at CODOH which rake over the 'no Nazi ever denied' claim and find all kinds of loopholes depending on what is meant by 'no Nazi ever denied'.
Interestingly, 'warjunky1428' is only the second denier I've seen on the internet claiming to be a history major. The only other revisionist I've encountered who was a history major grew up by his senior year and dumped the denier belief system. Studying history academically tends to immunise people against denier bullflop fairly well.
Thus, I doubt he really is a history major, or at least not a recent one (within the past quarter century or so) or from a proper college. Asking him to demonstrate some familiarity with a big-name academic historian of any period writing on a subject other than WWII or the ACW should probably do the trick to expose this guy's real level of historical knowledge, which appears to be abysmal.
Why is that odd? Those who were in the inner circle (you might want to read Speer's "Inside the Third Reich") knew what they knew.
Speer's book is a good source although you have to be careful;Speer's hands had a lot more blood on them then he admits. He was much more "hands on" with slave labor then he admits in the book.
If a guy can get a degree in History and still be an Holocaust denier, the history department where he got his degree really needs to take a look at how effective it's teaching is.....
Go to the Jewish sponsored sites and look for the testimonies about the alleged death camps and read them. Find the testimonies of the Nuremberg trials and read them.
Google search "gas chambers" "gas vans" "crematoria" "burning bits." Read about the raging guards throwing live babies against walls, into gas chambers, into burning pits. Read about the raging guards sometimes performing 2 or 3 consecutive atrocities in one paragraph.
Read the testimonies of people who worked to support the German war effort. Read that they got paid and could send and receive mail. Remember you don't get quality output from brutalizing workers.
He has told neighbours and reporters he worked only as a cook and saw nothing of the gas chambers and crematoria.
One German newspaper has previously reported that Mr Lipschis, who was born in what is now Lithuania in 1919, finished World War II fighting for Germany on the eastern front.
He moved to Chicago in the US in 1956, where he lived until 1983, when he was expelled for having concealed his Nazi past.
At the time it could not be proved that he was personally responsible for any killings.
He returned to Germany and his whereabouts, in Aalen, have apparently always been known to the authorities.
Hans Lipschis was taken into custody in Aalen after prosecutors concluded there was "compelling evidence" that he had been complicit in murder.
“The main camp of Auschwitz was like a small town, with its gossiping and chatting. There was a grocery, a canteen, a cinema. There was a theatre with regular performances. And there was a sports club of which I was a member. It was all fun and entertainment, just like a small town.

“If I wanted to get a voucher, I had to sort things out with an SS-man. And they only gave vouchers to healthy prisoners. They wouldn’t give them to prisoners who were on their last legs. Prisoners who worked as cooks for the SS, as hairdressers for the SS— the special prisoners got those vouchers. I got two vouchers.
“I wanted to cuddle up to her as much as I could, because it was three and a half years since I’d been arrested, three and a half years without a woman.”
The brothel was in operation until January 1945, and though little is known about the women forced to work here, it is believed they were chosen from non-Jewish inmates. The whole subject is one that most prefer not to talk about, but the suffering endured by these women is perhaps one of the least acknowledged aspects of the history of Auschwitz.
