you think some black guy is going to be so stupid as to climb up the side of the house to gain entry though a high window? he has no idea of who is in the house or when the occupants are coming back, unless Knox told him this, and it would be more probable she just let him in if that is the case.
if he wanted to rape meridith, it's much more probable that he would have waited for her to leave and followed her and then attacked her in an isolated area.
why would he care about the other roommates clothes? Why ransack her clothes? He didn't even take anything.
I don't think it's likely he breaks into a cottage given the fact they knew him, and he was buddies with the drug fiends who lived downstairs. Just taking a lot of risk of being identified to break into a cottage of some college girls who didn't have a lot of money or possessions.
he's not this dumb. to believe he's the lone killer, you must believe he is the world's dumbest man, as well as possessing Superman type of strength to hold one girl down with no resistance, all while stabbing with two different kinves.
I dont think the color of his skin has any relevance whatsoever and certainly isn't a determining factor in whether he chose to break into the flat or not.
There are plenty of scenarios that would explain why this window would be chosen, the fact that it was the only window without bars and the probability the exterior shutters were not fully closed since they were made of wood and caught on the sill making them difficult to close (according to Filomena). Add in the fact the window below had bars on it making it useful as a makeshift ladder plus the sunken area and retaining wall gave him cover while he considered scaling this location.
By all accounts he knew the guys downstairs and could have dropped by to see them, found out they weren't home, then determined no one was home upstairs (perhaps by knocking on the door and getting no answer or seeing no lights inside) and then decided to commit a crime of opportunity and break into the house which if correct would not be unusual for him given he had broken into several other locations in the past.
Once inside, he could have felt the need to use the bathroom and perhaps that's when Meredith came home. I can see a scenario where he came out of the bathroom and surprised her and that's when she screamed so in an effort to quiet her, things got out of hand and since he knew her felt the need to kill her since she knew who he was.
I don't believe the story he told his buddy on the Skype call where he claims Meredith (who by many accounts wasn't promiscuous, had a boyfriend and seem to have the character not to cheat on him with Rudy) and he planned to meet the previous day:
R. Well, the next day, we had an appointment to see each other again.
G. I see.
R. I don’t know if you get me. The next day...
G. Yes.
R. Umm, she was game [c’è stata] and so was I. So, we see each other...
R. So we went in, and I think it was about eight‐thirty, or eight‐twenty, they're saying that she told her friends she was tired and wanted to go home. But in fact no, we were supposed to see each other, we had made an appointment the evening before during the Halloween party, at the Spanish kids' house, and I can also say, well I don't know the street but I can say where it was.
G. I understand.
R. If I were in Perugia I could say where that house is, and anyway those kids can confirm that I was at that party.
G. Okay.
R. And then, we saw each other at Meredith's house and we started talking...we started talking, and I, well, I tried, I mean I made a pass at her and she was willing [ci stava]. But in the end we didn't do anything because...she didn't have any condoms and neither did I.
G. Like...in the newspapers it says that...well, you must have done something with her if...
R. Yes but in fact, I'm telling you we did just ...oral stuff. Nothing, no penetration, because I didn't have a condom, we didn't do anything. And so it's all crap according to me that they said they found my...sperm...male sperm. Then I, that... it's not mine because we didn't do anything.

we're all speculating based on our interpretation of the evidence, so you obviously see it differently which is your right.
