Our Heavenly Father Eloheim also chose, as did we and Jesus Christ, to progress through a mortal trial in subjection to His Father.

An infinite regress of hierarchical gods worshipping upward through nested universes is indistinguishable from a single god (who is everyone) in a single universe worshipping itself. Your elaborate new "Christian" myth structure thereby folds up into a fairly standard form of Hermetic mysticism.

Does your god have any ability to stop cancer? Or is he helpless in the face of the wicked things people do?
Just a yes/no to each question, please.

... Just a yes/no to each question, please.
The short time of our mortal trial is but a twinkling in eternities. There is no simple answer to eternal matters for those who have no concept, knowledge, understanding, spiritual guidance nor faith... as always, progression comes line upon line, precept upon precept.

A parable.

An apprentice one day travelled to a far away city to visit the Master Bricklayer. During the visit, the apprentice asked, "Master, can you show me your work?"

The Master said, "Yes, look around you!"

"Ah," said the apprentice, "You laid the bricks for this building."

"Indeed!" said the Master proudly. "And I also built the next one over. And the next one as well." He paused for a moment, then boasted, "In fact, I build every single building in this city!"

"Every one?" the apprentice asked in astonishment.

"Not only this city, but every city in the country. Every one. There is not a single building in this country, indeed in this continent--nay, the whole world--that I did not build!"

"But how?" asked the apprentice. "Surely there are not enough hours in a lifetime for a single bricklayer to build every building in the world. A few buildings in this city, yes, but surely not the whole world."

"Quiet!" cried the Master. "I say I built them, and that means I built them!"

Anyone care to guess where I'm going with this?

Wow. That Holy Heartburn sure does a lot in a short time. Is God like Alka-Seltzer, or does that count as a caffeinated drink?

It's a very simple concept: either you agree with the suggestion that your god has the ability to stop cancer, in which case the naswer is 'yes', or you don't agree, in which case the answer is 'no'

I don't believe in god and I don't believe that Janadele believes either. S/he is trolling, very persistently, but trolling.

What is really sad here is that you are wasting your one and only shot and existence on the pathetic lies of a a long dead conman. That is assuming, you really believe all this which I have my doubts about.

What part of this did you think was the "yes/no" part?

Speak for yourself. I prefer reality. You have chosen the wrong place to preach. Why are you here, you will find no converts for your cult.

I agree with you.
It's really sad to witness the effects of falling prey to a conman's spiel, freely abdicating intellectual honesty and choosing to rely on the sensation known as a 'burning in the bosom' as a touchstone.

dafydd, Disease was introduced to our world through choices made by mortals since the days of Adam and Eve...

This is quite obviously wrong for at least two reasons:

  1. That which we commonly refer to as "disease" was introduced to our world by viruses which are, for all intents and purposes, immortal; and

  2. Adam and Eve are but characters in a fairytale.

Janadele, are Negroes "white and delightsome"? YES or NO.

dafydd, Disease was introduced to our world through choices made by mortals since the days of Adam and Eve. Many suffer in mortality from the consequences of choices made by others.

There are many causes of cancer... pesticides, chemicals, foods cooked in oils at high temperatures, Aspartame, High Glucose Corn Syrup, second hand smoke from smokers, drugs, pollutions etc etc etc...

Is this official LDS doctrine?
That disease is the result of choices?
