it is obvious that the hundreds of thousands of tons of concrete and steel came down and that an fdr or cvr would be torn apart and its internal parts would be largely indistinguishable from smashed computer parts especially if combined with fire and dust
yet CM now wants to shift to why the building collapsed

In Trutherville one domino can't knock over 10, let alone 10,000 other dominoes, but that's the thing; that one domino doesn't have to knock over 10,000 dominoes. It just has to knock over one other domino, and that other domino in turn just has to knock over one other domino, and so on and so on.

Now I realize that the domino analogy isn't completely apt when talking about the WTC collapses, but it does demonstrate the principle that when Newton's laws of motion and second law of thermodynamics are at work, a lot of destruction can result from a relatively small scale event.

The funny thing is that with or without CD, the 'boxes still had a building collapse on top of them, and were subjected to damage far outside of their design parameters.
 
I would still like to know why black boxes couldn't have just been planted to be found in the rubble. Why would that be so hard.

Of course since 1/5 of the WTC demolished the other 4/5 - one floor at a time while adding that mass to its total - your point would be?

It should be easy for an engineer to prove it with a computer model/simulation. Yet I haven't seen one.

Back to the black boxes. Do you realize that the energy released by gravity in the collapse of each tower was over 1% of the energy released in the atomic bombing of Nagasaki? It was ten times MORE than some of the more recent tactical nuclear weapons! The Nagasaki bomb was detonated over 1300 feet in the air, yet essentially completely destroyed everything in a one mile radius of ground zero. What do you think over 220 tons of TNT would do to a black box buried within it.

'Controlled' demolitions are gravity collapses, all the explosive does is start the collapse.
