Are the crucifixion nails of Jesus in Europe?

You are correct, Foster Zygote. Thank you. To make it symmetrical, Jesus was nailed with four nails. He was in the center of two thieves but He was not a thief or their leader.
one is the loneliest number

I'm glad you cleared that up...:eye-poppi

And with so many foreskins ... ?
Well, what with all of the other myths that were thrown into Jesus' life to make it more authentic, it was nearly inevitable that 'the many headed hydra' would make an appearance too.

As this thread dedicated to relics develops, I thought it might be interesting to see just what the “Awit at salaysay ng Pasiong Mahal” was all about.
A quick Google search turns up the usual suspect, PasyonWP, which is a gold mine of information in this case.
It's an 18th century devotional book written in verse and read non-stop in teams during Holy Week in churches in the Philippines.

This reminds me of some Tibetan Buddhist practises I've come across.
But to stay on-topic.

What exactly would you have in mind here, PC?
Organise tours to visit the sites associated with these relics?
Write articles, give lectures on the subject?

Upon the suggestion of blue sock monkey, this thing about nails used in the crucifixion be discussed separately in this Religion & Science forum to keep the topic “Will the 2012 Olympic Games in London be held?” be on-topic and not be distracted by other things.

You are correct that the “Awit at salaysay ng Pasiong Mahal” is “a gold mine of information”. Ama recommends that we use this as well together with the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

Although this work is sung during Holy Week in the Philippines, I think very few notice what the verses mean. I will just use the Internet to share what I heard and learned from Ama. It will be up to the person to believe what he would like to believe.

Could you explain why Roman soldiers would do such a thing?

The verses were composed in the 18th century, adopted from devotional works, placed into a metric used in the Philippines and sung non-stop during hours.
This sort of practice can lead to trance and, of course, faking trances.
I wonder if this wasn't where KA got her start.

I find the use of a Catholic devotional text with the KJV fascinating.

But back to the OP.
4 nails found by St Helene- where did they end up?
And why does KA claim "Karpentas, Rome, Milan, and Paris"? Because that's what the “Awit at salaysay ng Pasiong Mahal” says?
Off to browse.

That has to be some of the most profoundly flawed reasoning I've encountered in years. And that's saying a lot as a reader of these fora. Why would the Romans who nailed jesus up care the slightest for whether they were arranged symmetrically?

Who says that he was nailed up, apart from the book of fiction called the bible?

And I own the hammer that drove those nails. Of course, over the years, the head has been replaced about 20 times and the handle about a dozen times. But it is the original - I've got a guarantee on that.

IIRC, the Spear of Destiny, the Roman spear used to poke Jesus to see if he was dead, is an omnipotent-class artifact in the DC universe.

Hence it is indestructible and thus should still exist.

A spirit revealed that four nails were used for the hands and feet of Jesus when He was crucified. The nails were eight-sided, “octobado”. They had been retrieved from Jerusalem by Saint Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine. It is incredible because the nails made of steel floated on the water and were brought to different places – Karpentas, Rome, Milan, and Paris.

Do I believe this? The story is also found at “Awit at salaysay ng Pasiong Mahal” (in Filipino) read and sang during Holy Week in the Philippines. Any comments?

Are the crucifixion nails of Jesus even in existence ?

Come to think of it, it kinda makes sense that they needed a lot of nails for Jesus. There are people around who took a dozen bullets to more important areas and lived, yet the Son Of God can't handle three nails? I don't think so. About 20-30 nails just about starts to make sense ;)

Quick question PeaceCrusader. Why are you making these posts? You continually and unhesitatingly dismiss every single comment made in any of your threads.

You are not here to learn things, to discuss things, to understand the other side of things, or to see things from all possible perspectives. Why do you keep starting threads?

Then those nasty Romans had to go and mess up the composition by poking a hole in just one of his sides...

Yeah that's what I thought. With all those supposed nails in exsistence somebody must of gone to town on Jesus.

He's a religious nutter would be my guess

Actually, that's kinda what... I find strange about the whole relic business. People do expect that some nail, or some shroud, or the staff of some sait, or whatever, would get all sorts of magical powers. As if sentience to understand someone's prayer, and the intelligence to warp reality in just the right way to grant them, were something an inanimate object gets contaminated with by contact.

Constantine's mom ran all over the place finding relics. Seems she could not go any place and not find something important. Gullible under any definition.
.
And she bought up a lot of real estate which just happened to coincide with the events in the book... so the sellers told her.
