The stories are still spreading and they seem to be coming up with new tactics as this blog post shows
Barack Obama was born in Kenya as recently as 2007

Wow, is
that site ever behind. Birthers tried to make a big deal out of this back in April.
The post covers promotional material put out before his presidential bid which allegedly claimed he was born in Kenya.
As has been pointed out in this thread before, the problem with the assertion that "he was trying to use the myth of a Kenyan birth for political purposes right up until it was detrimental" and he announced his candidacy for president in early 2007 is that Obama has always been open and public about his birth in Hawaii both
before, during, and after his association with Dystel.
On February 6, 1990, the New York Times published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On February 7, 1990, the Chicago Tribune published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On February 8, 1990, the Washington Post published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On May 3, 1990, the Chicago Daily Herald published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. In Fall, 1990, Columbia Today published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. In January 1993, Chicago Magazine published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On February 10, 1993, the Chicago Tribune published another article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On August 7, 1995, the Los Angeles Times published a review of Obama's memoir saying he was born in Hawaii. His official bio on the Illinois senate web page as
early as 1999 said he was born in Hawaii. Obama even acknowledges his Hawaiian birthplace right in the very book supposedly being promoted by the "born in Kenya" angle!
So, yeah, this entire claim is pure nonsense.
