The Birther claim was that this person was an expert in how scanners work. In fact his actual training and experience do not bear this out. Pointing out insufficiency in expertise does not denegrate his present role; it only challenges his pretense to a greater role.

Nonsense. ANTPogo's analysis shows that his credentials were overstated and that his propensity to believe strange things raises the question of bias in his analysis. Your witness was impeached. Deal with it.

I found this on a blog I occasionally visit because the person running it puts up material related to historic aircraft and spacecraft proposals, but there is also a lot of dodgy politics mixed in as well.

Insofar as Mr. Obama was not "annointed," but elected by the citizens of this country, I'll thank you to do the man (as well as the rest of us) the honor of referring to him by his proper title: President of the United States of America.

The POTUS cannot give permission for anyone to view the personal records of anyone held by a state. He's already released his records and they've been certified correct by the state.

As has been pointed out in this thread before, the problem with the assertion that "he was trying to use the myth of a Kenyan birth for political purposes right up until it was detrimental" and he announced his candidacy for president in early 2007 is that Obama has always been open and public about his birth in Hawaii both before, during, and after his association with Dystel.

On February 6, 1990, the New York Times published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On February 7, 1990, the Chicago Tribune published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On February 8, 1990, the Washington Post published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On May 3, 1990, the Chicago Daily Herald published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. In Fall, 1990, Columbia Today published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. In January 1993, Chicago Magazine published an article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On February 10, 1993, the Chicago Tribune published another article about Obama saying he was born in Hawaii. On August 7, 1995, the Los Angeles Times published a review of Obama's memoir saying he was born in Hawaii. His official bio on the Illinois senate web page as early as 1999 said he was born in Hawaii. Obama even acknowledges his Hawaiian birthplace right in the very book supposedly being promoted by the "born in Kenya" angle!

So, yeah, this entire claim is pure nonsense.

I'll go one step further, I am pretty sure not there is even a single fictional astrophysicist who subscribes to that theory. Not Samantha Carter, not Lt.Com. Spock, not Rodney McKay, not Rodney McKay's sister, not even Mirror Universe Spock.
