Simple question for Bigfoot enthusiasts: Why no unambiguous photos/videos?

You are not wrong on this... Like aliens, bigfoot changes according to the believer's beliefs.

But since the hippie bigfoot would lay down to rest some key pieces of bigfootery lore, such as the Ostman and Ape Canyon (tall) tales...

It creates endless opportunities for debate amongst proponents. Kind of like Luna Lovegood's "nargles" that everyone in the wizarding world thought were magical cryptids in Harry Potter. The only thing known about them with any certainty is that they live in mistletoe and like to steal things. JK Rowling failed to elaborate further on exactly what a "nargle" was or looked like but it was a hot topic of in depth discussion on the muggle forums a few years back ending in the same result as most bigfoot debates.

It's futile, I know, but the other aspect of baiting is the use of minerals.

Most animals like salt, just like we do. Farmers and ranchers put out salt blocks for their animals. So do hunters, poachers and photographers. In some places there are natural mineral licks, like the sea shore or a hot springs. Salt is an essential element to health. You have to get it somehow.

Bigfoot appears to be the exception. He does not utilize minerals? Or only the minerals in a zagnut bar. Which constitutes 4% of an adult human daily allowance of sodium, so less than 1% of a bigfoot's proportionate requirement.

Since this method of attracting animals works on things that exist, it cannot be applied to bigfoot.

Bigfoots get all the minerals they need from their alien masters.
Or by chewing rocks rich in Pt and Pd. They don't need salt as normal animals.

We have a witness report of a cover up from someone high up in Bigfootry.

Witness told the person that the picture he sent them was not a Bigfoot, but a tree limb, Bigfootry Elitist said "Don't tell anyone" and it was posted on their site as a Bigfoot.

I had to look. What a joke. It appears the sender of the pic was caught in a lie about 10 years ago. Now - after a couple of obvious tall tales on the BFF2 and completely bizarre conspiracy theories - he is being called on his original lie and a further lie about the original incident. HR Liarstuff is coming to his defense as a mod by trying to pretend it is not within forum rules to call somebody on an obvious lie. What a bunch of bovine excrement!

If you get further in the thread you see a link for this document:

How could anyone take this seriously? When I type in Levitt 202/343-5634 in google and look for the Dec. 21st, 1977 date, it isn't listed in the catalog. That would be an easy thing to forge considering how the document is formatted.

The Jacobs bigfoot was photographed near a salt block.;)

Exactly - he has some pictures of bear cubs licking the salt block, along with one picture that because of the angle and blurry quality is asserted to be something else.

So its bears for a while, then for an instant the bears are teleported elsewhere and a bigfoot of the same size and shape appears, and then the bears return.

Salt will do that.

Bath salts.

Speaking of salt blocks I solved a mystery once way off in the wilderness. A supercub strip in the Alaska Range someone had hacked out. So I came in and checked the place out. They had a tree-fort built - a pretty impressive thing, but I didn't quite understand its orientation. When I was hiking back, it was along a well-worn animal path. A small grizzly is approaching with his nose on the ground, intent on that and not looking at me. I startled him when he looked up and he scurried off.

So I figured I should turn around and see where this trail goes. Seems really regularly used and that bear was acting like it was a daily habit going down this trail not paying attention. So at the end of the trail there was a couple holes in the ground. Animals coming in from every direction to it.

That was just before winter. I came in the next spring right after break-up and looked over where the two holes were. There was a brand new salt block. So over time with the rain, and from animals licking it, there would be nothing of the block left, and animals would chew up the salt-laden earth. That's what left the holes in the ground. And from that salt block was a perfect shot with a rifle from the tree fort. By hunting season there was no salt block left. It isn't legal to to do, but the evidence isn't there to convict.

Real animals with real intelligence find traps and dismantle them and try to prevent a human from trying to get caught in one.

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/...-juvenile-traps-snares-rwanda-science-fossey/

ETA: Interesting bit from the article.
On Tuesday tracker John Ndayambaje spotted a trap very close to the Kuryama gorilla clan. He moved in to deactivate the snare, but a silverback named Vubu grunted, cautioning Ndayambaje to stay away, Vecellio said.

Suddenly two juveniles—Rwema, a male; and Dukore, a female; both about four years old—ran toward the trap.

As Ndayambaje and a few tourists watched, Rwema jumped on the bent tree branch and broke it, while Dukore freed the noose.

Bigfoot finds traps (or cameras that threaten their secrecy) and they lick them.
:boggled:

c. clarification: species names (common, not Latinoid), not given names.

d. hint: one of the birds is a juvenile.

Black Necked Stilt

Great Egret

American White pelican

And No idea about the last one.

You are correct. The bird on the left is a snowy egret. Shortly after I took this shot, I found a great blue heron; he was only a few yards upstream. I photographed him with my iphone, as my memory card was full.

I've had one of these fellows living down the street from me my whole life, no matter where I moved, one of these guys had a home nearby.
I could never manage to get a good shot of the one near me now. The pond has been drying up and now is almost nothing but massive cat tails so it's more or less invisible.

I was at the beach Sunday for a little day trip and tried looking for some great wild life. All I found were some crabs, bird and raccoon footprints, and a purple jellyfish. But I couldn't get the camera to focus on the jelly, so it's an almost non-existent blur.
