"Remember Building 7" - "Largest 9/11 Campaign Ever"

A derail about the media and 9/11 has been split to this new thread. If you are interested in that conversation, please continue the discussion there.

Just a reminder. No updates in six (6) months. It's March 2012 now, this was supposed to be huge (in September 2011 that is). They still have the $80k. Or do they, nobody knows, nobody tells what's happening. :)

Indeed. I was thinking the same thing yesterday, and posted this on their Facebook wall.

You said the Remember Building 7 advertising campaign would begin in October. It's now Mid-March. What's happened to the $80,000 raised so far?

"The 10th Anniversary Campaign will use the unprecedented level of attention and burning desire for truth felt across the world to mobilize thousands of people to donate a total of $1 million between Labor Day and September 11th. Remember Building 7 will use that money for an historic nationwide ad campaign in the month of October showing the American people the unmistakable footage of Building 7's demolition and forcing the mainstream media to finally discuss Building 7." - Remember Building 7, 17 August 2011.

My OP for this thread:

After their previous fundraising campaigns in which the goal target was increasingly reduced, and the timeframe for the goal increasingly lengthened, comes the "Largest 9/11 Campaign Ever". :oldroll:

From their newsletter:

THE PLAN

The 10th Anniversary Campaign will use the unprecedented level of attention and burning desire for truth felt across the world to mobilize thousands of people to donate a total of $1 million between Labor Day [(September 5th)] and September 11th. Remember Building 7 will use that money for an historic nationwide ad campaign in the month of October showing the American people the unmistakable footage of Building 7's demolition and forcing the mainstream media to finally discuss Building 7.

THE ADS

The campaign will be a three-pronged blitz of TV, print, and out-of-home advertising. New York City subways will be flooded with poster ads while TV ads saturate every major cable channel. Print ads will appear in several national publications and in local newspapers in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas.

...

COORDINATED EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE 9/11 TRUTH MOVEMENT

In addition to the 10th Anniversary Campaign, your generous support will help fund the Toronto Hearings, and the production and mailing of AE911Truth's new feature length documentary, "9/11: Explosive Evidence: Experts Speak Out," and their 15-minute mini-documentary, "Architects and Engineers: Solving the Mystery of WTC 7," to every member of Congress, the New York City Council and the Manhattan District Attorney. Watch the 15-minute documentary now to understand the impact these videos will have in front of the elected representatives who will see them.
Do not miss this unprecedented opportunity to support the most promising 9/11 efforts all at once and make the 10th Anniversary a vital turning point in the pursuit of a new 9/11 investigation.

Today from RL McGee on 911Blogger:

http://www.911blogger.com/news/2012...1truths-experts-speak-out-double-full-page-ad

"We are thrilled to inform you that the World Premiere Tour of AE911Truth’s new documentary, “9/11: Explosive Evidence – Experts Speak Out,” is coming to New York this Sunday, June 24.

"To show our support for the release of this groundbreaking film and use it as an opportunity to educate hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, the Remember Building 7 campaign has contributed a small portion of the $85,000 we raised during the 10th Anniversary to place a double full-page ad in the center fold of this week’s Village Voice."

"This massive ad featuring quotes from eight architects, engineers and other technical experts will be seen by 250,000 to 300,000 New Yorkers over the next seven days, with each impression costing less than 3 cents."

That's approximately $8,250 for the ad. Not quite a "small portion", I don't think.

Plus, the ad is just advertising Gage et al. :oldroll:

"Looking ahead, in the next three months the Remember Building 7 team will be deciding on the best way to use the remaining funds raised during the 10th Anniversary. After falling short of the original fundraising target and therefore being unable to execute our original advertising plan, we decided to bide our time and wait for the right opportunities, like the release of “Experts Speak Out.” If you have a creative and concrete suggestion for how to use of the remaining funds, please contact us!

"Finally, to those of you who donated at least $50 during the 10th Anniversary, you will receive your very own copy of the Toronto Hearings DVD within the next 6 to 8 weeks. Again, thank you for your generous support!"

Don't worry, there will be hell to pay.

Happy now? :oldroll:

I wonder if Gage gave the "campaign" a good deal on the DVDs.

:) He got a pretty good deal out of the campaign. When the campaign was launched, they said he would get 5% of profits.

Now, he gets the ad as well, which is another 10% of the profits.

Any donors feeling a bit pissed off?

I've said it before and will again, Gage is the best thing going in the Truth Movement -- from their opponent's perspective. The only thing he does is to vacuum up as much Truther donation money as possible and flush it down a rathole, accomplishing nothing apart from building an even more efficient money-destroying apparatus. As seen above, he's even consuming money that donors didn't even know would go to support him.

"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." (Napoleon)

He's the Truther "Doomsday Machine".

Isn't that the $85,000 that Mike Gravel stole? So he returned the dough?

On AE911Truth's 2010 IRS Form 990 it shows that Gage is/was still holding $69,000 raised by the Building What campaign (of which he was only supposed to keep 5%).

The $85,000 raised by the Remember Building 7 campaign is likely also being held by AE911Truth.

As I understand it, Ae911T will be earning interest on all this.

It's smart. A girl I date works for a huge energy company. When other companies overpay a contract, they hold the balance in their account. They won't spend the overpay, but they don't tell them either. When the company that overpaid catches it, they release the overpay balance. Her company keeps the interest though. We're talking millions sometimes that sits for months.

Can a non profit do that too? Collect interest on money that can't (or doesn't want to) be spent? I bet they set their goals too high just for that reason. Also, since AE911 is just holding the money for these "other" campaigns, do they get a consult fee, %, or something? AE911 looks like a multi-level scam to me.

Carnies and Rubes. :D

Given the proven ethical bankruptcy of AE911Truth on its primary goals - i.e. its continuing support of false claims for CD at WTC on 9/11...

....why would we expect higher ethical standards on "mere" financial scams???

In fact I am probably on shaky ground if I even use the word "ethical" when referring to AE911Lies.

So my apologies to those who are offended by my misuse of English language.

So what? Those amounts are less than an IS Manager made 30 years ago.
