Yet also managing to disguise the actual artefacts of alteration when different physical items like photos or negatives, are composited.

I asked before, Who is Doug Thompson, and why should we believe him?

Connally is on the record - under oath - testifying before both the House and before the Warren Commission. He said nothing of the sort under oath.

And we're supposed to believe he then just 'spills the beans' to somebody he just met on a airplane tarmac, that he does not know from Adam, after keeping his true opinion a secret for 19 years? Where is the PROOF any of this conversation actually took place? Did Connally ever tell anyone else this? Connally lived for another 11 years, and Thompson is the ONLY person he ever told the truth to?

And Thompson gets this exclusive revelation in 1982, and sits on it for 24 years? And waits until well after John Connally is dead (died in 1993), to reveal it?

Sorry, I'm not buying it.

The Warren Commission and the HSCA published transcipts of what Connally told them, word-for-word, and under oath. For this supposed conversation with Thompson, we have no documentation whatsoever. Why do you believe it, given it contradicts everything he said before? Wait, I think I just answered my own question. ;D

But I was asking for a citation for the claim that JFK was hit by a separate shot from the one that hit Connally. I don't see it in the article you cite above.

Or rather, that he vacillates as needed between expert and layman. Yes he claimed, by virtue of "Geometry 101," that it didn't take a photographic analyst to determine that Oswald's chin was the wrong shape in the photos. Then a week later he informs us that he has 25 years' experience with photography and can attest how easy it is to fake photographs convincingly, such as the backyard photos. The punchline comes when he fails at making even a passable fake.

Like so many others this seems to be a conspiracy where being caught would have dire consequences and yet at every step the conspirators planning never gets above 'oh well it'll probably be okay so long as no one examines it to closely'.

That's because conspiracy theorists always venture into expert territory without being experts. The conspiracy theory is what they use to make their ordinary intellect seem astounding.

Curiously, you still haven't quoted Connally saying that. You keep saying he said that, you even say he INSISTS that is what occurred, but somehow you still can't quote him saying that.

Instead, you repeatedly quote him saying he got hit by the second shot, which is not in dispute, and is not the same thing at all.

Especially since Connally is on the record as saying he never saw the president during the shooting.

Only Nellie, among the passengers in the car, said her husband was hit by a separate shot, but I don't even see her turn to look at the president until both men are reacting to bullet wounds.

Buit equally astounding, Robert cited the Z-film and what it showed when he tried to establish JFK was struck once before Connally was struck!

He cites what he himself calls an altered film. How he knows what parts are altered and which are not, he doesn't say. I suspect the methodology he uses is simple: "If it shows anything that can be called evidence of a conspiracy, that's the unaltered part. If it shows anything supporting the Warren Commission version of events, that's the altered part."

The old "Heads-I-win, Tails-you-lose" decision making process practiced by all good cospiracy theorists.

Robert, do share with us your methodology for deciding what parts of the Z-film are altered, and which are not, so we can independently test it and decide if you are applying that methodology fairly.

On and on and on. You just keep citing Connally's testimony which is consistent with a separate shot. Why you do that, I do not know. There is just no question about it. You may argue, very weakly, like the WC that he must have had a delayed reaction, but that is patent nonsense. He was hit by a separate shot. That makes too many shots for a bolt action riffle and equals conspiracy. Deal with it.
