The death throes of a conspiracy theory.

He doesn't have to prove his case. You're the one claiming FDR knew, or could have/should have known, or something like that.

Incorrect, he does have to prove his case. He's the one claiming FDR didn't know/couldn't have known.

If he can't prove his case he's a conspiracy theorist.

The only way to meet your ridiculous burden is to time travel and read his mind. If there is some other way to prove that Roosevelt didn't know to your satisfaction, you're free to state it. Of course, you won't do this.

And unfortunately for you, the world doesn't actually operate the way you wish it does. So in the end you are just some insignificant troll who doesn't understand the concept of burden of proof.

You have to show that the established position is correct.

No, you demonstrated you didn't understand what it means to have the burden of proof. It's a fair bet you don't understand why, either. Based on that, I don't think anyone buys your attempt to weasel out of your burden of proof by meta-debate tactics.

Incorrect, he does have to prove his case. He's the one claiming FDR didn't know/couldn't have known.

Nonsense. Disputing your claim is not tantamount to an affirmative counterclaim to the contrary. Further, you were asked to describe what you would consider proof of Roosevelt's lack of foreknowledge. You refused to do so.

You insinuated that the evidence at play here is somehow incomplete or unacceptable. You were asked whether you knew of or had seen more acceptable evidence. Again you refused to do so.

It's clear none of your objections has any merit to it. Kindly stop evading and answer the questions.

Translation:

"We can't prove FDR was without foreknowledge. We hope he was, and based on the evidence the U.S. government has allowed us to see, he appeared to be without foreknowledge, but we're just speculating."

In summary:

You are conspiracy theorists.

And unfortunately for you, the world doesn't actually operate the way you wish it does.

Prove it.

I understand it well enough to keep you running in circles for page after page. The burden of proof is on you to prove that the Pearl Harbor attack was really a surprise.

Good luck!

And by once again failing to state what you think could be proof you confirm that none is even possible sans supernatural powers. Your burden is completely unreasonable. Rational people are not required to meet it.

If you can't meet your burden of proof then that makes you a "conspiracy theorist". After all, if you can't prove something then you are only speculating and theorizing about it.

So, welcome to the club! What took you so long?

No. It's a legitimate strategy that's time honored and since it striking at a military target in route to strike at our resources Japan would still be aggressor.

False. A preemptive strike would have made the United States the aggressor since Japan sending a fleet toward Pearl Harbor could not, in and of itself, be considered an act of war.

You're just spouting nonsense.

It's your insane burden of proof that can't be met. The sane burden has.

I'm sorry, but your answer is incorrect...again, so sad.:( But for a consolation prize you will receive a copy of our home game and a $1 gift certificate to Trolls R' Us.:)

No, it really hasn't.

The government truther conspiracy theory surrounding the attack at Pearl Harbor holds that the Japanese attack was a full and total surprise to our government. There's no real solid evidence that this true, other than the government saying it is, but government truthers believe it anyway. When they are asked to prove it they say, "we can't, that's impossible, but you must accept it as true anyway!".

I don't have the burden of proof, you do. You believe it, you prove it. If you can't, then it's a speculative conspiracy theory.

I'm sorry, but your answer is incorrect...

Actually, it's 100% true, and I can prove it. Just watch...

Prove that the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor was truly a surprise to the Roosevelt administration. I want hard, credible evidence. Go ahead. Take all the time you need.

Hey, why are you running away? Come back!

Ah yes, you still don't understand how this works. That's too bad.

The burden of proof is met by all evidence which indicates it was a surprise which you refuse to look at because you're a lazy, dishonest troll and because the complete and total lack of evidence of foreknowledge.

That you require an impossible to meet burden is nobody's problem but your own. It speaks to the religious nature of your belief system that they are unfalsifiable.

The proof is there's no documentation indicating it wasn't. You say that's because we just are not allowed to see it. Show us this proof. Your move.

OK, show it to me. Where's this evidence you are talking about?

The fact that to be convinced you required some kind of impossible to meet burden is nobody's problem but your own.

Actually it's your problem. You made a claim and can't back it up. Now you guys are pouting because I won't accept your whining that it's too difficult.

Put up or shut up!
