Trayvon Martin, Vigilante Justice

I meant in the radio call or 911 operator call to the SFD to go to the incident. Would the scene and injuries be described when SFD was dispatched?

Most likely it would have been dispatched to a gun shot victim. And since they were there they would have been asked to treat Zimmerman.

I'm sorry, do you support the use of Photoshop to alter an image in dishonest ways? Do you have anything to add to this discussion or is the best we can expect of you?

I'm sorry.

Can I get your opinion on this enhanced shot of his arm?

Criminals often use such ruses before they attack.

Know why? Because it works. Why does it work? Because it makes people think the criminal is not a threat.

The reality is you cannot judge someone approaching you based on anything short of a direct threat.

Not saying anything during the approach is not a threat.

Saying, "hey why are you in this neighborhood", is not a direct threat.

I think both of these can easily be threats, depending on tone and body language. Trayvon wasn't just walking down the sidewalk when he noticed some random person running towards him devoid of any context. If you notice somebody watching you for a time from their vehicle without saying anything, if they get out of their vehicle and follow you when you move away, and if they start running after you when you start running away, I'd say a reasonable person could conclude their intention is not friendly conversation since they had that opportunity when you were nearby their car and they didn't take it.

EDIT: NM, going from a partial quote and thought it was a different part of the discussion.

To knock someone down with one punch is not easy. Most people, seeing how effortless it is on TV and movies, would probably break the bones in their hand attempting it.

Actually it's not that hard to knock someone down with one punch either, without busting any bones in ones hand. There's always a risk for the latter, of course, greater than seen in movies.

In the case of the birth certificate, the CT people are claiming the document was altered with no evidence. In this case, they are admitting up front that they altered the photo. I hope you see the difference between those two scenarios.

This is a no humor allowed thread :(

And, just because ...

ETA: PS - don't tell anyone in the computers subforum I am using windows :o

Some people need to understand that there is actually middle ground between Arnie punching through a windshield without a scratch, and Adam Sandler punching a bully and needing an icepack.

And stitched? That makes no sense. Stitching is not done by EMTs and Zimmerman was not taken to a hospital before being booked. A slice that needs to be stitched may be clean around the area but a split from a blow would be heavily bruised.

Also, how the hell would Martin have bounced the top of his (Zimmerman's) head? I sincerely doubt that the fight included some pile drive into the sidewalk.

You rock the head back while the person is struggling to get up. This causes the impact with the ground to be higher up on the head at times, and lower at times. While the person is trying to get up, the head rotates more to the rear and the impact point is higher.

If you think of Zimmerman as laying flat on the ground, the high injury seems odd. But if he was struggling to get up, maybe raising himself on his elbows, then a higher injury would be expected.

Or, the media reports are screwed, and there's something we just don't know. A distinct possibility.

So now it is a very specific injury caused by a very, very specific circumstance that left no marks on Zimmerman's face but resulted in magically-appearing stitches to the top of his head. And this entire theory is based on a doctored photo.

Cool story, bro.

No, I saw the injury in the original video.

I just tried it myself by standing against a wall. I can easily touch near the top of my head to the wall and still be against the wall with my body. It only requires a little arch of my neck.

Zimmerman already has a big wide flat-ish nose...

And if the EMTs did anything, it would have been heavily documented.

Right, we are just killing time waiting for whatever medical documentation there is to be released or leaked by arguing about relatively useless leaked surveillance footage.

BTW I saw footage flash by on MSNBC just now that showed the garage from a different camera - this was from the front of the car, not the back.

Anyone know anything about that or have a link ?
