Worst government in Australian history?

I would like Julia to be magnanimous and offer KRudd the Foreign Affairs gig back. Apart from anything else, he would be out of the country a lot.

Plus it's a job he's actually suited for. Won't happen though. Straight to the back seats with you, Kev.

They really need gillard to run the place, and rudd to win the elections :-)

I think that's it for labor tho -no matter what the reality of the situation, the caucus has basically confirmed that they will not be swayed at all by strong public opinion.

3 terms of liberal? 4 maybe?

Anyone who writes off a PM 18 months out from an election, frankly, knows nothing about Australian politics. Both Howard and Keating were further behind in the polls than Gillard is now, and won. If the Libs do get up next election, Abbott will not take them to a second. He'll be dumped before the halfway mark. If the Libs get up.

Normally Id agree, but I think certain aspects of the current situation are rather unique.

Mostly I think the Australian public is still hurt and offended that Gillard stabbed him in the back in the first place (the details of which are distasteful to say the least), then the attempted character assassination, and now the continued defiance of the labor faithful.

Nope. Theyre done. People won't forget in a hurry.

I dont know why the libs persist with Abbott. They could field a trained monkey and poll better.

With the slut at the helm, Labor will lose more than 30 seats, and destine them to a generation of opposition. Had they elected Rudd, which by the way is still on the cards later on, they would still lose, but by a ten- fifteen seats loss.
If the Liberals are smart, they will dump Abbott and re-elect Turnbull as leader, then Labor WILL be able to have their caucus meetings in a lavatory. But even if Goofy is the Liberal leader come election time which I hope is sooner rather than later, they will still romp in. The Libs have all the materiel they would ever need for a successful campaign right now. A divided party has never won an election in this country, let alone such a shambolic one like this lot. I hope Rudd changes his mind and resigns from his seat and cause a by-election which Labor couldn't win in a fit, and send this rabble to the people of Australia to judge. No second guessing who the members of this thread would vote for: the looser!

I can't be bothered deciphering this semi-coherent rant. Among the childish mistakes in it is that one by-election loss would mean the government would fall. Simple arithmetic is beyond some, it seems.

How about answering some of the earlier questions in this thread amb?

Looser than what? The mind boggles...

BTW, the use of the term "slut" is getting a little tired. Give another irrelevant term a try - I suggest the word "architrave". I rolls off the tongue nicely.

You can't understand above post? Then I'm wasting my time here. I know I started this thread I now declare it dead, just like Labor and the slut. Pat yourselves on the back, and don't forget to hug an asylum seeker as the come ashore, better still, why not open up your homes to them. Bye.

Pity. I was about to start a discussion about how the unemployed are sucking the lifeblood out of the nation. Been to Centrelink yet?

No, because it's incoherent dreck.

Dreams and capabilities. Your'e getting them mixed up.

The only thing that's dead here is your credibilty.

We have.

Don't forget to write.

OP has delusions of being in control. What next - a career in politics?

Insert obligatory architrave here

Architrave Architrave Architrave. There - I've said it.

(if any of this is making insufficient sense, I blame the head cold. If it is making sense, increase your medication).

According to figures I made up earlier today the National Architrave is already installed in over 210,000 homes across Australia.

In other news, Tony Abbott has sworn to abolish the Architrave Tax if he wins the 2049 election.
