I was thinking today about the representatives and voting. I thought about who abstains from voting and how often. Is voting on legislation a fundamental role? Can a representative transcend that requirement?

I'd give it about 6 months to see if he can recover enough to GBTW just like I did with Giffords. Beyond that then yes, he should resign if he can't do the job. It has nothing to do with the little letter by his name.

The entirely of your post consists of this sort of irrational exaggeration.

Possessing a gun is not evidence that he heard the speech that you keep referring to nor is it evidence that, even if he did hear the speech, that mere ownership of a gun would drive him to kill someone.

Instead of just insisting that he was influenced by the speech why don't you show some sort of proof that he did in fact hear the speech or even that it was likely that he did? I've already shown why I say that there is no evidence that he did. If you can show that he did (and was influenced by it) then you really should pass that on to the prosecutors so that they can use it against him.

No. I am not totally familiar with his time for recovery, but if it is to take a similar length of time I completely believe he should resign.

She looked really good at the State of the Union address last night. I still hope she doesn't give up her career in politics/public life. Even if she chooses not to run for office anymore, I think she'd be a great "elder statesman" in the Democratic Party.
