Then you want God to perform a miracle for each and every generation, every 20 years or so, so that each generation will love him because of the miracle.

Sure, he's god. What else does he have to do?

Actually it can't be cut and pasted from that site. And I haven't made a penny off that book, and I don't know the authors.

The guy can create the entire Universe in a few days but the odd miracle is too hard? If he's to lazy to do it himself he can send his son back to do it again. A miracle might go some way to getting me to believe there's a god but if it's the god as described in the bible I don't imagine would never love him.

Yet Pure Argent was able to do it.

Of course, as all believers, DOC forgets about all the gods that are available to choose from.

Even if the reasoning in his book recommendation were right, he is unable to see that reasoning applies to so many gods it would make no sense to waste our lifes following any of them.

Even if the reasoning in his book recommendation were right, and he could somehow apply the book only to the christian gods, following such gods would be nonsense, because there are too many christian gods.

Let me guess, the book doesn't take the most logical approach: No such critter exists.

Do you believe in the Big Bang and life from non-life? Do you have undeniable proof for those beliefs or just evidence?
Do you believe in a god from no-god?

I have learned something new (or stupid) today - Evidence isn't proof!

There are no gods. Maybe you could find something better to do with your time than arguing works of fiction are real.

Someone somewhere should add somekind of theology law saying that any "monotheistic" religion that splits in denominations, should, from that point on be considered changed to "polytheistic"

Ynot, I see you are from New Zealand. I guess you can't get the text from page 31 from the link given in the first post. I believe only US residents can get the page. If I get the time, which I don't have now, I will try to post the passage from that page by typing it out.

Yes.

Do you have undeniable proof for those beliefs or just evidence?

Just evidence.

Which, incidentally, is a lot more than you have to support the existence of the Christian god.

Yet Pure Argent was able to do it.

No, I wasn't. I paraphrased. The actual paragraph was much more long-winded and pointless.

How many threads are you going to try and tease out of this masterpiece anyway DOC?

God has provided no actual evidence. I guess its true that people who want to believe have enough if they turn off their brains. But an old book of myths filled with contradictions and absurdities isn't actual evidence. Other religions have old books of myths too that have exactly as much basis of evidence. Its really only by accident of birth that one will come to believe one over the other. Do you think that you would be a Christian if you were born in Iran, DOC?

If your god actually wants people to believe it is a freaking moron seeing as how most don't believe in the right version due to circumstances beyond their control.

If God was eternal, he would have no beginning and thus would not have to come from anything.

If the Universe is eternal, it would have no beginning and thus would not have to come from anything.

Forget about big bang, think big bounce

There even a religion supporting it: hinduism :D

Same thing applies to existence and life. How do you know that life hasn't always existed somewhere in the Universe?
