Delusional, psychotic nutbag. That's the best I can do.
MT was adored in my upbringing. Pictures, giant books, documentaries, and more, were foisted on me from a young age. When I first came across Hitchens I was coming down off of a serious woo, cult, conspiracist viral infection and his book and movie on her shocked me to the core of my entire being.
I have actually pinpointed my emotional connection to Hitchen's work to this very moment in my life. Didn't really make sense to me until I saw this article, in my mind I turned to Hitch and said? "Are you laughing?" The guy's work literally smashed my thinking apart like a baseball bat to a piñata.
That's why it's so funny for me to produce this follow up post by sfweekly.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco expressed its sadness about the Weekly's accusations and highlighted in the press release that even the story's author wasn't sure if the letters were written by Mother Teresa.
"I am sure that Mother Teresa, in all her goodness, would forgive this shameful attack, but it is a dark day for journalism."
We called the archdiocese for further comment, particularly on the strong indications that the letter -- which you can read here -- was written by Mother Teresa, though it is unsigned. We'll let you know if we hear back.
God Save the Queen.
