Considering the inconsistency in his narrative, that is a distinct possibility. Strange that some should desire this sort of reaction , but it seems some people get a kick from getting their ass whopped, again and again.

I guess my mores arise from a sort of reasoned ethics, based on human commonality, rationality, that suffering is generally bad, and paying it forward is good.
You can reason a lot of mores from a few assumptions like that, such as:

- the golden rule
- don't judge a book by its cover
- bigotry and prejudice are bad
- thou shallt generally not steal/ kill/ commit adultery/ lie
- respect your parents
- etc.

Looking back on it, this prostitute was plausibly an Atheist who wrote her own rules. She was into prostitution because working at McDonalds paid minimum wage and enslaved her. She had to make money to support her two children. I was impressed by the fact she wrote her own rules to survive better. I enjoyed helping her and her family by supporting her little business (as she fondly called it).

Unfortunately this probable atheist and British prostitute fell in with drugs and the drug culture and quickly went downhill. Perhaps someone with religious mores would have heeded the danger of drugs and have avoided them.

No, she just ran out of babies to eat, and reverted to drugs. Happens all the time. Some revert to religion instead, but downhill they all go.

Atheists seem proud of their sometimes absolute ignorance of religion.

I like to understand religions and evaluate them for myself. I don't like to have peer pressure cause me to make a black/white decision on any subject or person.

Whether people are religious or nonreligious, I resent them telling me what I should or should not believe. That's why I'm demanding that atheists show religious tolerance. (just kidding about the word demanding) Whether or not people are religious or nonreligious, they should show religious tolerance. Religious tolerance is the law in the USA (enforced in the workplace and schools).

I didn't write that. You did. And, as usual, when somebody repeats what I said, it's a lie.
I said that I had never personally met a person that admitted to being an atheist or gay while growing up (0-18 years) in my home town. That home town was NOT Boston (Boston was 25 miles away). I had read about gays and atheists, but they were more of an abstraction to me than a reality.

For most of history, having children was considered vitally important. Likely a high percentage of homosexuals wanted children and got them the usual way or 'did their duty' for the family in the usual way and made it with their preferred partners on the side. I don't think it's a coincidence that coming out of the closet coincides with a time when there are much lowered expectations for grandchildren.

I have no idea what the statistics are, but I doubt if the average gay couple has the same number of children as the average heterosexual couple.

Probably not anymore. But if they have straight siblings who have children, most of their genes are going to get passed along anyway. I am not a father, but I have a brother and sister who both had children who are reproducing enthusiastically.

There might be a genetic pro-survival reason why some children in large families - whether they are homosexual or not - choose not to have children of their own. Perhaps, like you say, they see that their genes are being carried on by their brothers and sisters and do not see the need to have children of their own.

I'm aware that evolution has at least a couple of different mechanisms. New theories are that evolution isn't all genetic mutation or natural selection.
