UFOs: The Research, the Evidence

And here we see RoboTimbo engaging in a real common tactic, the application of derogatory labels.

Pseudo-scientist is not a derogatory label, but a descriptive label.

If you don't like that label, then stop posting nonsense.

olog, why do you continue to dishonestly equate UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) with alien craft?

Because he can't accept the fact that he has been "found out" as a credulous believer.

That, or it's some sort of mental flaw.

There is nothing more productive that can come from me talking about my own sighting anymore on this thread.

So you're leaving??

Sometime maybe I'll get someone who is good at doing graphic art to help me do an illustration that would represent the object more lifelike.

Totally irrelevant....they would have to rely on your "description" which we all now know is extremely suspect.

What I would like to propose at this point is that the skeptics here post a top 10 or more list ( with reasons and references ) of UFO related hoaxes.

You'd also like to propose that UFO = "OMG . . . aliens!"

How's that working out for you?

These need to be proven hoaxes, not hypothetical hoaxes.

What they need is to be somewhere else.

I will add it to my webpage and give the JREF forum posters credit for helping.

Which is exactly what you've wanted to be able to do since you first arrived here. What a shame for you that we aren't a bunch of goggle-eyed creduloids that think claims = evidence.

What do you say? Let's turn this around and try doing something constructive.

What I'd say is that your definition of 'us' is as topsy-turvy as all of your other personalised definitions.

For your information, Mr Olog, we've been doing something constructive the whole time - demonstrating that ufology is at best a psedoscience and at worst a vapid pastime for the terminally credulous.

ufol,

Since there is no evidence for your alleged sighting, perhaps you should post your top 10 list of UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) for which you have evidence that they are Alien Space Ships.

What's the need of a top ten hoaxes list on a thread about evidence? Unless you want evidence UFOlogy is full of hoaxes.

Wait, why would an UFOlogist need skeptics to build such a list? They should know their own turf...

Note also that several lists could be built, for no use, since this or that UFOlogist will not agree with this or that UFO case being a hoax. Trindade UFO picture comes to mind, among others.

Wanna see a list? Here it is (not in order, its not even top ten, its just the first ten which came out of my mind):

Adamski
UMMO
Ashtar Sheran
Meier
Gulf Breeze
Nashville 1989 pictures
Trindade UFO pictures
Caproni alien pictures
The "alien autopsy" video
"Starchild" alien-human hybrid skull

I'm sure UFOlogists will complain; hey some people still believe in Adamski and Meier...

u need som cows n' a redneck to attarct tehm.

Or someone with the power to summon UFOs. I am available for a small fee.

There is nothing more productive that can come from me talking about my own sighting anymore on this thread.

That seems to have been the situation for several hundred posts now.

Sometime maybe I'll get someone who is good at doing graphic art to help me do an illustration that would represent the object more lifelike. If that happens I'll post up a low res illustration.

Isn't that a lot like getting someone to draw a better picture of Bigfoot?

In the mean time please forward your suggestions on our top 10 UFO hoaxes ( non-video ) or more information on the hoaxers and methods from the top 10 videos posted earlier.

Although it doesn't appear to be very widely known, there is much evidence to suggest the 1975 J. Randall Murphy glowing orb sighting is a hoax. There is no solid foundation to the story, no material evidence, and an intentional effort is being made to perpetuate the story by way of mass media.

The method? Make up an alien sighting that allegedly happened so long ago nobody can possibly verify its legitimacy. Set up a web site to spread the tale. Go around to some forums and tell the story over and over again, insistently, never let up no matter how often you're caught in attempts to deceive. Ignore all criticism then tell the story again. It's a similar strategy to some of the more underhanded political campaigns. Never let up. Lie if you have to. Repeat. Repeat. Eventually some folks will believe it even if they're just the stupidest and most gullible. It's not a unique method for growing a hoax, and it's probably marginally effective at least among those with a propensity to fall for such nonsense.

Of course nobody has actually admitted that the alleged alien sighting was made up from scratch, but the ever changing versions and demonstrated dishonesty in the telling of the tale certainly supports it being a hoax.

Hey, no problem. We're just a bunch of cooperative helpful skeptics here. You're welcome.

Blue White Sphere

Here is an illustration that gives a better idea of the
size of the core object for the UFO ( alien craft )
that I observed. I estimated it to be about as wide
as a VW Beetle.

BlueSphere-01A.png

This illustration depicts similar terrain and location
but not the actual location. When the object neared
the ground it was less bright and more blue. When
the object was above the trees, the glow was whiter
and extended out farther, and just before it departed
it got very bright, almost pure white and the glow
extened out even farther again.

Illustration as seen from viewing point just before object
departed.

sighting.

...UFO ( alien craft )...

Still don't get it do you...you can't call it "unidentified", and then identify it as a alien spacecraft...your learning "curve" must be a flat line for you to continue posting that nonsense.

Have you no shame??

I estimated it to be about as wide as a VW Beetle.

Your "estimate" is as worthless as your story.

So we are back to one vw instead of two ontop of each other?

And you claim to have discerned that from 3000m?

And on what basis is it a craft and not a light?

And where is actual evidence?

Same scene from 3 kilometres away:

Exactly.

That close-up rendition is based on nothing more than his pure imagination.

He knows that this light was an "alien craft"?

The claims are pretty laughable, really.
