CIA threatens "Press for Truth" producers over release of new documentary

I'm surprised the CIA is the first to go after the group with the amount of legal risk they've taken with libel against 9/11 victims, and witnesses.

Libel lawuits are tough to win in the United States. Federal prosecution for violations of existing law, not so much.

Having said that, if these producers are actually going to accuse two individual American citizens of covering up 9/11, those two people would have a pretty good case. The producers' position better be well-researched... and we all know how good the Truthers are at that.

The concluding part three of the Paul Thompson interview series in the OP was just released. You'll actually learn a lot about 9/11 if you listen to those three parts, and I say that looking forward to digest the third part tonight.

Paul Thompson joins us to discuss one of the most blacked-out and censored aspects of Al-Qaeda-CIA connections: The partnership and alliance between the CIA and Al Qaeda and their joint operations in Central Asia, Balkans and Caucasus throughout the 1990’s. Mr. Thompson talks about Al-Qaeda’s Balkans operations, running training camps, money-laundering, and drug running networks in the region, Ayman Al-Zawahiri and his residence in Bulgaria in order to help manage the Al Qaeda effort in nearby Bosnia, the Al Qaeda cells in Chechnya and Azerbaijan, BCCI and more!

Also, Sibel Edmonds thinks that the CIA is bluffing with their threats and seems between the lines to advise the producers to release the full audio documentary.

Sibel Edmonds? :newlol

Who cares what a TRANSLATOR that worked for the FBI for 6 months thinks about the CIA?

Sibel Edmonds knows very little about the CIA I'm afraid.....her whopping 6 months as an Interpreter for the FBI don't exactly make her the most knowledgable source.

She is irrelevant....who cares what she thinks?

When Rove or whoever it wasdecidsed to out Plame, there were still human assets in the field who had been connected with her brass plate front company Brewster-Jennings.

This put the lives of those human assets in jeopardy. Some of them may already have been murdered, and the rat who outed Plame, thus the agents, is an accessory to it.

Still laborating on that wikileaks trauma, sarge? What you wrote doesn't apply here and I repeat my recommendation of the Thompson interview series. You'll learn a lot, too.

The names are a non-issue. The important issue is the conduct of the agents. Did these agents break the law? Facilitation. Accessory. Obstruction of justice. These are serious crimes. Where is the investigation of Alec Station agents? Oh yeah, in the US some people are above the law. Their conduct simply isn't up for review.

Some will likely respond by self righteously posting "Where is the evidence?" as if I am out of line for wondering why some CIA agents protected al Qaeda operatives. I can only go by what is in the public domain. Public records indicate that Alec Station and FBI UBLU agents withheld information about al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar from FBI criminal side agents. To date none of the agents involved in the withholding have seen fit to explain their conduct to the public. For unexplained reasons the public is evidently supposed to conclude that the agents acted in good faith when they obstructed al Qaeda investigations.

Instead of asking me for proof of which I don't have you should ask yourselves why CIA and FBI officials don't feel an obligation to explain why their agents acted in such a bizarre manner.

Well, the ridiculous thing is indeed that most of this stuff was known from very early on, only details came in since then. In form of dots that were connected publically while the "investigators" had them handy and should have acted upon them all along. And those producers aren't the first to get harassed over this (like Shaffer and Soufan, see press release linked above). But oh so conveniant the public was spotting the pod for so long it's mind-blowing.

The whole "CIA/FBI didn't play nice together" has been addressed over and over and over and over...

It's not a conspiracy.....<snip>. It's just people being people...

There are Intra and Inter agency rivalries...they continue to this day. Most people who have any real life experience with the FBI or CIA (and other similar agencies) are not the least bit surprised by any of this.

I'm not defending the behaviour....indeed it is something I fight against quite often....I'm just saying it wasn't a conspiracy.

:doublefacepalm:

I love how you truthers latch onto someone like Sibel Edmonds.....like she is an expert in the Intel world after her 6 months as a translator... ROFL laughable

I also love how truthers completely fail to recognize the substantive criticisms. Such as:

A responsible journalist can tell the story without putting sources and individuals at risk. To out a CIA agent/analyst is most certainly not in keeping with journalistic standards and ethics.

This gets no response, but CE makes three posts to tell us to promote the third part of the interview, and brings up Sibel Edmonds. Whom I really hope these producers aren't listening to.

Who cares what you think about what Sibel Edmonds thinks? You're irrelevant. :)

YOU should care JihadJane ;)

I know more about those agencies then Sibel Edmonds ever will in her wettest dreams....

She is irrelevant....her opinion on ANYTHING outside of her very brief experience in that world doesn't matter to.....well.....anyone really.

Actually....she matters to truthers like yourself for some unknown reason....of course you know as little about these matters as you do Engineering, Math, or any other topic....

So have at it ;) Keep JAQing off to irrelevant nonsense.

Yep....EXACTLY.

btw, you seem to read a different thread than the rest of us. I didn't bring up Sibel yesterday. Please take your irrelevant and uninformed opinions elsewhere. Nobody benefits from them.

Oh the joys of personalization!

And what have engineering or maths got to do with the Tenet-Black-Blee cover-up? Answer: They're irrelevant.

Your intemperate (possibly automated and ideologically motivated) rant has left me even less convinced that what you think about what Sibel Edmonds thinks is relevant.
