Once again, being offered something is not self determination.
That doesn't make a bit of sense.

Just what *is* self-determination then? War until you get what you want?
What's interesting about that, is that they don't seem to be attacking Iraq, Jordan, or Saudi Arabia, who all took land from the Mandate. Only Israel. One must wonder why that is.It's a good question. It's not being told "This is what you'll get and you'll like it".

Did they consider themselves Palestinian then, or Arab?Iraq? That's quite a way from where the Palestinians lived.
The resolution of this conflict will have to involve compromise, but it should be a just one.
Iraq? That's quite a way from where the Palestinians lived. The Syrian "King" had to quickly decamp to Iraq, the British moving of chess pieces failed miserably there. The Palestinians did more or less set up a state within a state in Jordan, which resulted in a bloody battle.
What compromises do you think Palestinians should make?
....Accept and recognise Israel, abide by international laws as all nations are required....any others?
BD's one-sentence post was "I think Hamas are freedom fighters".
Here is a one-sentence post: "I think the KKK are freedom fighters".
Here is another one-sentence post: "I think the Nazis are freedom fighters".
Please tell me how I am "oversimplifying" if I say I think #1 here shows support for Hamas, just like #2 and #3 show support for the KKK and the Nazi party.
Of course I'm being unfair to the KKK -- compared to Hamas and the Nazi party, they're practically pacifists.

the beaver people, during our long association.
i helped them fight a land claim issue several years ago.
i did buy the land years ago, from the previous 'owner'. (an absentee land lord)
and i plan to pass it on to my step-daughter, in keeping with beaver custom.
So you're living on your own land, not Indian land.
Gotcha.
ETA: inheriting land is Beaver custom?
dude....it's ALL indian land.
yes....a relatively modern tradition, obviously, a beaver home automatically passes to family living there...there are no deeds.
the kkk and the nazis were/are not freedom fighters.
they are not struggling against a repressive nation.
what do you suggest? or is fear of expressing an opinion going to keep you silent? Those are compromises?
