Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

Ah, Sir William Ramsey.
Anyway, my own favourite bit from Josh's tract is:

Who knew the University of Miama had a branch in Oxford, Ohio?
Not a thousand kilometers from my home is the headquarters of a group of people who claim to have seen the sun dance in honour of the Blessed Virgin.
They number over 500 IIRC, so what they give witness to must be true?

Um...that's Miami University, not U of Miami and it is, indeed, in Oxford, OH.

@Akhenaten with so many words in favor of this thread, I guess This is "evidence for why we know the Thread posters told the truth(*)".

(*) Thread starter partially excepted from this statement

So...according to DOC's theory that quantity equals truthiness, this overwhelmingly DOC-shredding thread is more true than both the Gutenberg Bible AND the New Testament!

Thanks to the Pharoah, Wilbur and Nimrod for pointing that out. Also, I think Wilbur and Nimrod should have their own animated series.

Seriously!?? Thomas Arnold??? Again...:boggled:

Why do I feel like this thread is DOC's version of Groundhog Day???

This is one of my favourite bits from Josh McDowell's tract:

I'm going with "one of the most wicked, vicious, heartless hoaxes ever foisted on the minds of human beings."

(I didn't need 30 days to work that out either)

PS: Oddly enough Sir William Ramsay and the "historian of the first rank" Luke were referenced in the tract too.

Hmm. Tract you say?

Would that perchance be the intestinal tract?

All joke aside. If one googles the question asked on this thread. Guess what comes up?
This thread, that's what! :eye-poppi

Yeah I tried after seeing the Pharaohs spoof google thingy, still, not as circular as DOC's "Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth".

Shhh...I'm incognito. I'm working on a sequel to my gospel - Jesus II, Revenge of the Messiah!

No worries. From what I understand, apologists aside, it's a top notch university.

Isn't that the Book of Revelations?

Isn't that the Book of Revelations?

That was John's take. He missed a few key points. Like this time Jesus won't be Mr. Nice Guy - turn the other cheek. Oh, no. It'll be all "Wha' choo talkin' about, Willis Evil doer!" and more throwdowns than Bobby Flay.

My sequel (an adaptation of Revelation) is called - The Second Rising: Zombie Apocalypse! ;)

Here's the forthcoming trailer (to be released after retitling):

And here's the film poster:

A little off topic. But usually most of the youtubes I see on JREF have little boxes with disclaimers. How do you do that?
