What choo talkin bout, Willis?
silly mistake, noticed too late for edit function.
I know what you mean. I'm anal enough to spend 5 hours on a 5 paragraph post, proofreading, editing, rewriting clumsy sentences, and then I miss one little thing; like an apostrophe or an "s" where there should have been a "c," that I only catch after the edit function times out.
But at least it keeps (most but not all) people (relatively) honest, so they can't change crappy arguments after the fact (that doesn't happen on this thread does it?).

It's my personal beliefThere is evidence that typos and piddling mistakes spontaneously spring up in carefully crafted and scrupulously proofread prose. It's all the work of the typo-pixies. Well, when I say "evidence," I mean I reada few quotations froma book by Sir Luke Ramsey Geisler called Do I Have Enough Faith to Use Question Marks. Did you know that former slave Frederick Douglass, who became the most famous black man on the planet, spelled his name with too many esses? This may not be proof, but surely it is evidence that the existence of the pixies is the truth.
...Could phony gospels written by liars 2000 years ago have had this kind of power to help produce these great men out of broken hearted poor slaves?
Dianetics? Tom Cruise? DOC just proved that Scientology is real!
weird post.DOC still hasn't answered why he thinks an abolitionist would back him, given that that he's supportive of slavery...
Frederick Douglass and the Rev. Martin Luther King helped change the course or history.
weird post.
Which post? What's weird about it? Seems straightforward to me. You think an abolitionist would support you, yet you have expressed support for slavery. Care to comment?
I've already said why on the previous page. They did indeed. How is this evidence that the New Testament writers told the truth?
Because it inspired people, it must be true?I've already said why on the previous page.
ETA: some more DOC-logic:
Norse mythology inspired Tolkien to write his masterpiece LOTR, so Odin and Thor exist.
and became the most well known black man in America.
I thought that was Tiger Woods...
My guess was Bill Cosby. Does this mean we fail at history?
Not OJ then?
No President Obama either, or Martin Luther King
Muhammad Ali?

I wonder if DOC realises that none of the gospels were written by the claimed authors.
All were anonymous. Titles were only given them decades later.
I'm going for Billie Dee Williams.

I doubt Tom Cruise will have much effect on history -- he can't even get any more decent roles because of his past behavior.
Although Dianetics might have tapped into some "partial" truth which gives it some power, just like Islam (in my opinion) has tapped into some partial truth.
Muddy Waters.I'm going for Billie Dee Williams.
As did Genghis Khan, Suleiman the Magnificent, Albert Gitchell and Atilla the Hun.
So bloody what?
Diregarding the accustomed non-sequituriness of this observation, in what way has Frederick Douglass affected history more than Cruisus airheadicus? Show your working.
And yet you would have us believe that Christianity alone has accessed the motherlode of the whole truth?
The only thing more breathtaking than the arrogance of this vapid assertion is your apparent conviction that the shambling and at times deranged apologetics presented in this thread will convince anyone at all of its truth.
