I Hereby Predict that No-One Will Ever Win the Million Dollars

Looks like you're going to have to wait until the end of time before your prediction can be verified.

How about- My psychic powers (TM) permit me to predict that nobody will win the JREF $1million prize before New Year's Day 2005, (Fort Lauderdale time).

A million dollars today is not as much as it was when Mr. Randi started this. As it is, he may as well set it at 10 million, the rules are too strict for Jesus Christ Himself to keep up with.

I agree - rules that can be boiled down to "prove you can do what you say you can do" are just so strict…

All Mr. Jeebus has to do is repeat one of his old tricks - like walking on water. There is quite a bit of it to trod upon near Ft. Lauderdale.

Well, he did start out with "just" 10 grand (his own money)...

It never ceases to amaze me that a million bucks is too little for some people, for whatever reasons. It would certainly make a huge difference in my life...but I guess I am considerably less well off than folks like Bigfig. :(

What is it that is too strict about the rules? Could you be more specific, please.

Hey, you have no idea how many girlfriends have tripped me up with that very rule.

rumour is, He finds it hard to walk on water these days ... ever since he got those pesky holes in his feet.

"I Hereby Predict that No-One Will Ever Win the Million Dollars
Can I have my money now?"

Has Mr Randi insured himself against a potential payout?

If he has, then I would not put money on it!

Based on what do you predict that ?
Are you basing on anything paranormal?
eg. Psychic power?

I don't think you'll qualify to participate if there is nothing paranormal.

Yeah but it’s worth more than that. Think of the sponsorship deals and the public appearance fees.
Least not forgetting the smug look that will creep onto Interesting Ian’s face as he calls us morons and idiots yet again.

Huh? You mean pay premiums to an insurance company so that they would have to pay the $1M if anyone qualifies?

Why would he do that? He has the money on deposit. He makes money off the interest.

Going back to the first point.

No you won't get the money because the instant he pays you it makes you the winner.

This means that your prediction that no one will ever win, would be wrong and then you would not be able to claim the money.

So even if you survived until the end of time, you still wouldn't be able to claim the money because you would invalidate your own claim.

Well I've just been informed by my spirit guide - the late Mrs Ramishbeski - that a_unique_person is wrong and that I will win the million dollars.

Just email me for where the money is to be deposited.

I can assure you, there was no reason, logic or common sense used in the making of my predicition.
