Thunder, with the greatest of respect, there seem to be a lot of dark thoughts knocking around inside your head.

What I worry about is that you seem to want Israel to do these things so you can say, "See? See? My constant carping at Israel was always justified because of worse stuff that they later did!"

I think it is more likely that Sharon was getting on in years and had a stroke from natural causes.

Seriously? On a skeptics board, you're going to attribute real world deaths to kabbalistic rituals?

If you're really going to claim these people have magick powers and can snuff world leaders at will, then why is there even an issue here? Why wouldn't these people use their magick powers to snuff all the hostile Arab leaders until their will is broken? Why didn't they off Hitler before he came to power?

This is absolute crap. I thought the Fool had gone off the deep end with his suggestion that Palestinians shouldn't be required to do anything to get statehood and later that Israel might use nuclear weapons to address the "demographic threat" of Palestinian-Arabs...but this goes so far beyond that...it's literally breath-taking.

In my opinion, Bibi is upset due to a combination of two reasons. One is personal, but the more important has to do with how future negotiations may look like.

Lets dispense with the personal one first. Bibi feels that Obama has essentially ambushed him by introducing an important element while he is on the way to Washington. He sees this as an attempt to dictate major concessions without getting anything in return. Some journalists here have reported that Bibi's people have tried to get Obama to change this bit, or to add a paragraph saying that the Palestinian refugees will not return into Israel, but the administration refused. Now, I do not really care if Bibi is personally insulted or not, but he has a point regarding the second reason.

Obama's declaration is going to influence future negotiations. Now the Palestinian initial position will be that they are entitled to all the Pre-1967 West bank, and this will make it much harder to any future Israeli PM. In effect, concessions regarding land will not seem as concessions. This is practically the only bargaining chip that Israel has.

There is another element in Obama's speech which is a worry. He seemed to be suggesting a path in which there is first an agreement on land and security, then the Palestinian state is formed, and only then the sides try to tackle Jerusalem and refugees. This is a teribble idea, ensuring that the creation of a Palestinian state will not bring peace. I suspect that this is one of the reason for the Israeli response.

Here is what Ben Caspit, an important Israeli columist, and not a fan of Bibi, wrote today:
