TAM 9 Roll Call

Although every year, some of us (ahem) manage to miss the forum photo, so I wouldn't say that's a completely accurate count.
 
So, no forum photo on TAM 7 & 8 at the Southpoint?

EDIT: How many people here?, 80?, 100?. That would make about 10% of TAM6 total attendance.

Wow, I never realized how many people come to TAM... this should be very interesting indeed. Perhaps I'll even try talking to some of you... being that I'm such an introverted weirdo social butterfly.

From my completely unscientific experience at TAM8, that sounds very high to me. It seemed that most people I spoke to who weren't people I'd already met through this place were not even aware of the forum, and the roll call for last year didn't have anywhere near 350 people on it.

You should feel at ease; there's an awful lot of people in the same boat, and those who are more outgoing are very welcoming.

I think it's generally in the area of 100 or so. Maybe a few more, although some of the people being counted as "forumites" may have only posted 3-4 times.

My experience was very similar. I talked to a lot of people, but few were forumites and even fewer were forumites with user names that I recognized.

When you get to TAM, be sure to check out the Forum Welcome Table, run by Forumites KittyNH and Kochanski. If you really want people to talk with you, they'll even have some "First TAMmer" buttons. Wear one and people will know you want them to talk with you if you're looking lonely or overwhelmed. :eye-poppiTAM!:jaw-dropp

Kochanski also printed out avatars for the badges, which also makes it easier to identify fellow forumites. She has said that she will be doing that this year too, so Andriiya, get that post count up so that you can have an avatar too. :)
 
Every year after TAM, we add a few people to the forum, too.

How many posts do I need to get an avatar? I'll have to get to work on being more talkative around here... :dig:

Hmm, shouldn't take me too long to get to 50 posts... I must start designing my avatar right away.
 
Since I have been to both TAMs in London (or is that TAM Londons?), will TAM9 count as my first TAM or not? Has there been any sort of official ruling from the judges about this very vital question?

Anyway, I'm coming. Due to my low post count I can't edit the table (you need 15 posts to get link privileges)
