Not officially acknowledging that something happened is not the same as denying it happened. Not even close.

"do you accept or deny that the Holocaust took place?"

"neither. I simply choose to not acknowledge it either way".

....nice huh?

And you have evidence that the Knesset has been asked, and declined to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide either way?

yes, they threatened to officially acknowledge it as pay-back against Turkey for their support of and actions after the flotilla incident.

so acknowledging a genocide is a political football for Israel, not a matter of conscience.

Researching further, it appears you are right. However, I still wouldn't classify Israel's position as a denial.

The U.S., U.K., and several other countries hold the same position.

and how would you react to a nation that claims ambivalence to the reality of the Holocaust?

"maybe it did happen, maybe it didn't. we couldn't give a **** either way".

Probably with equal ambivalence. Now, if that country actually denied that the Holocaust occurred, I'd probably be annoyed. If that same country also funds terrorism against the largest concentration of Jews in the world, I'd probably be concerned.

Are you angry that the U.S. also doesn't officially acknowledge the Armenian Genocide?

So, are you going to provide evidence for this claim?

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/UN/unga61_255.html

The General Assembly,
Reaffirming its resolution 60/7 of 1 November 2005,
Recalling that resolution 60/7 observes that remembrance of the Holocaust is critical to prevent further acts of genocide,
Recalling also that, for this reason, resolution 60/7 rejects efforts to deny the Holocaust which, by ignoring the historical fact of those terrible events, increase the risk they will be repeated,

hmm...looks like simply ignoring historical truths..is bad enough...ay?

evidence?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Genocide_recognition#Countries

United States' several official documents describe the events as genocide (1975,[39][79] 1984,[80] 1996[81]), President Ronald Reagan also described the events as genocide in his speech on April 22, 1981.[82] Also, 43 of the 50 U.S. states have made individual proclamations recognising the events of 1915 to 1923 as genocide.[2][83] As of March 4, 2010, the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs has recognised the massacres of 1915 as 'genocide.'[84]

while its clearly not enough, the United States has gone much further in recognizing the Armenian Genocide than Israel. nevermind the fact that 43 of the USA's 50 state legislatures have officially recognized the Armenian Genocide.

Parky is going to hang onto the issue like grim death. It's all about equivalency. He needs Israel to be the equivalent of Palestinian Holocaust denial. It's weak, but he needs it.

Um, still looking for the "heavy price" that is to be paid by those who do not acknowledge the Holocaust, as is your claim.

Hamas spreads Nazi CT, the Israelis don't teach their kids about the Nakba and have criminalized memorializing the Nakba in public by organizations.

Its all the same evil.

Ah so you acknowledge that Hamas teach Nazi whack in textbooks now? Because before you called that a "right-wing Zionist lie and bigotry".

where did he do that? I think you are imagining things. Nobody I know of is in denial about Hamas school textbooks.

I read back through some stuff and I think I found somewhere that He said that throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers was not terrorism....someone asks him if he is in denial....he says he does deny right wing Zionist propaganda.....you then chime in with the textbooks stuff....I don't see parky denying anything about textbooks.

please review your claim and show where he denied the textbook thing......I think you should be carefull when you place words in quotes and attribute them to someone. The they should at least exist. sound fair?

this post by you is in response to a request for evidence by... me.

perhaps next time you respond to such a post, you will simply reply with the evidence that is requested.

and if not...perhaps you should not respond. unless you are simply trolling.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzt!

Wrong again. The request, by you, for evidence was to Skeptic. Not to me, so I was not behoven to provide evidence for a statement I never made.

However, I did ask you to clarify what you meant by saying that affirming the Nakba is illegal.

Now, could you do that and ask Skeptic for evidence at the same time?

It's not as if I'm asking you for Fermat's last theorem...

I think it's because of the fact that the Armenian Genocide took place in peacetime and the Ottomans thought of them as being "in the way", while the Holocaust took place when the Nazis sought to totally rewrite Eurasia according to their twisted worldview with the Jews being their most hated "foe" and deserving only of annihilation.

What the **** are you talking about?

Go and read a *********** history book before you spout this crap.

PA Minister Honors Murderers - DISGUSTING!

PA Minister Gives Award to Family of Senior Hamas Terrorist

Palestinian Minister of Prisoner Affairs Gives Award to Family of Terrorist Who Planned the Suicide Bombing Attack at the Park Hotel....

....The suicide bombing attack on the Park Hotel was carried out on the night of the Passover Seder, March 27, 2002. Twenty-nine Israeli civilians were killed and 140 wounded, when a suicide bomber entered a hotel in Netanya and detonated his bomb during the Passover Seder dinner, the last straw which led to Operation Defensive Shield, whose objective was to stop the Palestinian terrorist campaign against Israel......

A Passover Gift to Israel.

DISGUSTING!

if you had no intention of providing any evidence, why in the world would you respond to a post requesting evidence?

seems kinda trollish to me.
