Split Thread The atom bomb attacks on Japan were faked

Well, you take several pieces of cleverly shaped sub-critical mass fissile material then arrange for them to come together extremely quickly (using explosives) such that the chain reaction is so violent and fast that the material simply doesn't have the time to move apart any significant distance before the release of energy from the fission process.

But you know that of course.

You ok with fusion weapons?

Anders - you're not ignoring this are you?

That's what they claimed they managed to to in the Manhattan Project that just HAPPENED to be finished just before the end of the war (yes, the war was about to end even without the use of supposed atom bombs). But did they really manage to achieve that? Or did they have to fake the atom bomb explosions because they had failed to create a real atom bomb?

So you don't think a fission bomb is even possible?

I found some suspicious things like the lack of amateur photos (except a few dubious ones) of the supposed mushroom clouds over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And an American who flew over Japan shortly after the end of the war said that the damage over Tokyo and Hiroshima looked exactly the same which made me suspect that both cities were firebombed. And films of nuclear explosions look suspiciously faked. Plus the idea of 'critical mass' doesn't ring true for me. And even if super-fast nuclear chain reactions could be achieved through some extreme enrichment process, how can the critical mass material be held together so that it remains critical?

You do understand that people spend years studying nuclear physics right? What are you suspicions compared to the informed opinion of an actual nuclear physicist?

I doubt that the nuclear chain reaction can be made as fast as they claim happen in a nuclear explosion. And even if it could made so fast, then how can the fission material be held together and remain at critical mass by using only conventional explosives? Wouldn't the power of such incredibly fast atom bomb explosion rip the fission material apart at the very start of the chain reaction?

But how many study nuclear physics especially as used in nuclear weapons?

No. It's an exponential thing, as you pointed out in one of your earlier posts.

Right, that's it. No more wasting my time on this or any other AL thread. Bye.

By at the start I meant very early on from the point in time where the chain reaction starts. Yes, exponential process. Which means a very fast step from the material getting lukewarm to it getting more explosive than conventional explosives. Ordinary explosives can only hold the fission material together as long as its compression power is larger than the expansion power of the fission material.

I ... And an American who flew over Japan shortly after the end of the war said that the damage over Tokyo and Hiroshima ...
You're once again inaccurately paraphrasing Philip Morrison. Quote the man himself ( ... and do not bother referencing some equally inaccurate paraphrase by another author either.)

It was an expert on this history who said this in a presentation about the atom bombs over Japan. And it's accurately stated. Philip Morrison had seen the same kind of damage over both Tokyo and Hiroshima, something like: ash and gray broken roof tiles.

E=mc2, prove it wrong, make my day; earn a Prize.

It is funny, he is wrong and right. Bet the nuke engineers figured out how to get enough stuff to "stick" together to make a big bang.

Do the math! You are given the answers, you are given the equations. The theory was proved correct. Math is needed.

I want to see the math on how many fuel cells it takes to match the output of a nuke plant. Size comparison.

When will 911 truth introduce the super-nano-thermite electric plant? Could it be the energy from a kg of fuel oil is 10 times the energy of thermite?

Why use nukes?

Why not use TNT or thermite to make electricity? Because nukes have more than 800,000 times the energy.

Why not use hydrogen, natural gas or fuel oil? Because nukes have over 200,000 times the energy.

Don't tell the OP guy about hydrogen gas and batteries.

My comment was -in part- a response to your earlier remarks from that other thread. I saw where your information came from. That's why you should quote Philip Morrison himself. His observations weren't accurately repeated.

The point Morrison made wasn't that the damage looked the same but that -on the contrary- there were marked visible differences in the aftermath of the destruction. Things still visible in Tokyo were absent in Hiroshima. His comment was about the contrast not the similarities he saw when comparing those cities from the air. That was on his approach by airplane but after landing he also went into the cities and once again noted differences.

Quote Morrison.

Quote him yourself if you claim to know more or better than the expert saying that Philip Morrison saw the same kind of damage over both Tokyo and Hiroshima.

I have just quoted Dr. Philip Morrison. Now you do the same here. Transcribe the relevant lines verbatim from the text of the comment made by Richard Rhodes as well as the actual remarks made by Dr. Morrison - then honestly compare them. Can you do that, Poe?

Can you provide a link to the quote from some reliable website?

If the damage and effect of a nuclear bomb could be replicated with conventional bombing and explosives what would be the point of hoaxing the nuclear explosions?
